Happy New Year Guys. Hope you are doing well. So I recently got some money and was wondering where to spend it so this thought came in my mind that why shouldn't i change my laptop. I liked the idea and went to market in search for one. I found this particular deal good, a shop is selling Samsung Series 5 Ultra Book without the battery for 21K. (Battery is internal & costs around 6-7K) Specs are as following:

13 Inch HD Screen with Touch
Core i5 (3rd or 4th Gen)
8GB Ram
HDD ( I will use my previous SSD)
Metallic Body
1 usb 3.0 2 usb 2.0 Ports
HDMI/SD Card/Lan Ports
Condition: 8/10

Not the best thing in the world but considering my budget & needs I think its a good deal. Currently iam using a 1st Gen i5 Acer Aspire 5742 (15 Inch) Laptop with 8gigs of ram paired with a SSD. Its an old and heavy machine. I love it but i want something portable & lightweight with good battery life.

Iam a student so i have to carry my laptop around and the one iam currently using isn't really good for this.

So please guys give your thoughts is this a good deal? Considering Iam getting whole package for around 28k (22K Laptop+ 6K for a new battery). Is this Samsung Ultrabook worth it? Will i have issues regarding purchasing a new battery in future?

I mostly use my laptop for browsing, watching movies (a full HD screen would have been great) and some Photoshop nothing else no games or other cpu intense stuff. All i need is something light and portable. This Ultrabook does all this plus its in aluminium body which feels quite premium. Looks bit futuristic too considering its a 7 Year old.

Awaiting for some opinion. Thanks

A couple of months back, I sold a Envy 14 with an i5 4200u, 4gb ram, 14 inch 1600x900 screen and a newly replaced battery for 25k... So you're getting this in the same ball park...

Only thing is that replacement batteries tend to last only 6 months or so in my experience... Your milage may vary...

Would they still last about 6 months with carefull usage? I usually tend to take Very good care of my stuff. I only charge the battery to 80% and try to not go below 20%. Are replacement batteries easy to find?

Due to pendamic imports of such used laptops are very less, therefore a used i5 3rd gen dell/HP lptop that used to cost 15-17k now cost 25-28k.

I bought i7 7th gen educational scheme wala laptop for 27k a year ago and now it goes for 45k
