Playstation 5 Million PS3 games sold worldwide

Sony has sold over 5 million games so far and a total of 500,000 PS3 users have now connected their PS3 to the Playstation Network Platform; 25% of the 2 million units shipped worldwide.

At the same time Sony confirmed that the Gran Turismo HD Concept demo has been downloaded 300,000 times in just twenty days in Japan alone.

Although Sony has shipped 2 million units worldwide, there have been various reports the PS3 isn't selling well. Some of them report that only 56% of the 2 million units have actually been sold.

Hopefully the upcoming PS3 exclusives, such as Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Lair and Warhawk will boost the PS3 sales in the coming months.

Well its mostly because of sales figures, Sony said they has shipped 1 million in USA in 2006 while NPD said they SOLD 690K in 2006, but this could be because Sony shipped a lot on Jan 2
