    lol. is it possible to just disconnect from my wifi connection via my PC while the Ps3 is downloading the file and logged onto the proxy? I am using wi-fi on PC and wired on PS3. I was thinking of using default and just disconnecting the PC via my task bar.

    is it CFW 4.31 or OFW 4.31? you will need to buy E3 flasher and find someone good at soldering and expert at PS3 architecture to do it. First you will need to downgrade to 3.55 CFW and then update to 4.31 CFW.
