    Problems with breaking of the internet in Karachi since the past 7 to 8 days. Rumors are that there is a new Chinese firewall that has been put in place within the PTCL data centers, which is breaking websites "randomly."

    They start small and with time can go to bigger sites as well. Remember, Youtube remained blocked for several years; and so blocking is not a problem, at all. We can all use VPNs and DNSes but most Pakistanis have no clue what they are.

    PTA has gone rogue. It has just banned thousands of websites in the past two days. Only Dawn.com had the courage to post an article about it. Every other media outlet is mum, quiet. Well, the business of VPN providers in Pakistan will just grow. VPN is free with opera browser.
