  • For now I am busy with playing Visual Novels. I have finished 2 VNs up till now; Saya no Uta and G-Senjou no Maou. Seriously, you should play G-Senjou no Maou, it has a really beautiful storyline. All the routes are so sweet, comedic, it's really serious too, the storyline is solid with about no plot-holes left. Yes, it made me cry! Probably in every route except for Kanon's. It is a bit like Code Geass and Death note in a way, that there are two people in the VN that are brilliant masterminds, one of them is an amazing tactition and strategist.

To tell you the truth, I have dropped watching anime for now. I'll resume anime in June. Visual Novels are just great, I'd say that sometimes they are even better than anime but this should not be said as both of these things are totally different.
Well, before heading out on my adventure on trying to get knowledge on VNs, I'll first try learning programming which is an obvious necessity. Care to tell me what you know of VNs if you have the time, thanks?

Hahaha, it was great, thanks for sharing. It's so catchy. I remember this uploader, he has quite a good collection of videos I'd say. No, I had not listened to it before. So far I haven't listened to much of these synthesised songs, and I haven't got much into Miku Hatsune and co. That will be saved for a future time.
hardsubbed like you can't extract them from the file.
No, it's not a problem of finding the subs. I prefer the subs by 'WinD', and I'll use the subs by 'Triad' as a secondary resource. I want to imitate the work that 'Wind' has done from the start to the finish, I love their karaoke, their font and how they did those poems by "Frederica Bernkastel" that are displayed at the end of each episode.

You are surprisingly evil! I never new that Higurashi had an hd release until I came upon the release by [OVA Raws] by chance. But Umineko as it is fairly new, it had a bd by DmonHiro so time wasn't of much concern to me. But still, they used gg's subs. And darn, Lambda Delta stalled Umineko, I think I'll try waiting for them. Well, I'll be doing releases just for myself and for fun, don't plan to go out and help groups, unfortunately.
VNs I would love to indulge in messing with them but from my experience on the interweb I learned that only the most professional of the human race are the ones who work on VNs.
Nah. I am alone at the moment. But I plan to join a scanlation group in the summer vacation.

I don't know... maybe you are an internet research-for-oneself engineer! In detail, someone curious like me who wants to become awesome like all those people who are in the fansub community surrounding anime, manga and visual novel. In short, wannabe hacker/fansubber/encoder/timer/bla bla!

So, did you like Higurashi and Umineko? No spoilers for Umineko please!
Haha, good comeback at my flood of questions!
Well, from the progress we have made throughout our time on PG and from looking at your regular posts in the anime, it seems that you are interested in the "deep knowledge" or "what happens behind the scene".

Anime fansub group no, so far I have planned to try and imitate the Higurashi's release of "WinD". You know they have only worked on the DVD and just recently I found the 720p raws of higurashi on nyaa. So I was planning to copy over all their effort and work on the raws to make for myself a WinD release. So for that I will learn After effects and Aegisub. WinD is one of my most favourite group and I want to do this for myself, so I am going for it but it will be really hard as I will have to everything from scratch because in the "past" there was avi and everything was hardsubbed.
Oye... have you watched Higurashi or Umineko no Naku Koro ni?

Just asking, are you interested in the technical side of anime and computers?
Example like, are you interested in x264, encoding, aegisub, vectoring, programming, hacking, reverse engineering, after affects, audactiy etc.?

Reason of asking - I'm curious!
I only liked the first or the second series of digimon, can't remember properly. Maybe it was the first one, after that it became total utter shit!

I watch about 4-6 anime at the same time, alternating between one anime and the other, each other day!
So are you liking Toradora? Many people, I was one of them at a time were angry at how the anime ending. Hope that doesn't happen to you too. But I have to say Toradora was really good and fairly original!

Just stating my opinion, I think that anime like One Piece, Bleach and Naruto are watchable, implying that one skips the lame and time-wasting fillers. Let us just say that I like these anime because they have strong and cool protagonists and characters, which take me in easily. So I am a sucker for them in a way.
What, why haven't you watched Gundam 00? I am furious.
Macross = ahhh... the anime that brought a revolution in the mecha genre, revolution means the Itano's Circus.

Are you an all-rounder meaning will you watch every anime if possible with some exceptions like duel masters, pokemon, digimon and doraemon or shinchan etc?

A website that is very relevant to your interests.

    You dislike mecha anime?
Ah that, you must mean about the blog post that "TheFluff" (their encoder) wrote on his own blog, a story of a fansub group. And yes they are a bit reliable, based on the anime they do and how serious their tone and will to fansub it is. The fansub of the movie was actually good, the normal one, haven't watched the movie on the "troll sub track" yet.

Yeah I do agree that some of their releases are good, mostly when they do joints with serious groups like bss and like they did a joint with TakaJun for Kara no Kyoukai.
Hey have you watched Gundam 00 - A Wakening Of A Trailblazer -? I have put it on download now, couldn't probably wait plus the chances of any other group to pick it up are really low so I am going with gSS. Although if only gg had worked on it, then I probably wouldn't have watched it.
Koda (founder of gg) and the group itself is really famous for their "troll" subs, it amazes me that the group really started as a troll sub group and people still like the group. I don't know if they have shifted towards quality subs but I still doubt them, so at the moment I am downloading the release by "elysium".
I would love to but I am waiting, because I'll hopefully get a new pc in June. So then I can watch it in 1080p on a big screen and hopefully on the hometheatre system that my dad bought to listen to "Ghazals".
But I have gg and Takajun's rip on my laptop and didn't watch it deliberately.

CGi does a good job too but they need a quality checker and an editor if possible.

Thora is really amazing but too slow.

And the best thing about Kara no Kyoukai is that TakaJun from "Yandere Translations" translated it.
Shit! I am so jealous you know!

Absence of a dedicated graphics is a real pain, I'll admit that. I myself am stuck at the resolution "1280 x 800", can't watch anime in full 1080p or even hd. Damned, unfair life!

But your pc may be good enough for rpgs. Rpgs are awesome. Go for Elder Scrolls IV and/or the FF series.

Final Fantasy X - Suteki Da Ne
You must have a big hard drive or a lot of hdds. I am stuck with a 250 Gb hdd. It's really painful deleting the anime that I just downloaded, it hurts.

You really are late at starting Toradora, really late I think. But you are a bit lucky, read this but don't click any other link which is in the article. Reason - spoilers.
You must know about this website already but if you don't then let me tell you, it's totally not safe for work.

I just finished Nodame Cantabile: Paris-hen yesterday, it's awesome. I loved the ending theme of the anime a lot.

Niconicodouga for the win, all the videos that are born there are awesome.
Have you watched Hanamaru Youchien? Try it, it was a pretty good anime. Cute and funny both, and it didn't bore me a bit.
Similar to Kodomo no Jikan i.e contains a student that has a crush on their teacher.

Each episode had a different ending theme like Sora no Otoshimono and all of them were great.
