Most games are still better played on a modern rig than a console, trust me, as a guy who has both series S and a PC. The matrix demo is definitely an outlier tho, but consider the fact it's only a "demo". A game running on unreal 5 will fare much better on all platforms. This goes without saying but we shouldn't really compare demos because Nvidia also has alot of demos for thier graphics card and no body brings that up when comparing performance, because well, they are just demos. The matrix demos shows the worst case performance for PC due to unreal handling of it's shader cache? Issue they have yet to resolve but I'm hopeful about the actual games. However saying that all older builds of unreal have always stuttered is just absurd. Infact I would say the UE3 had a great run on PC . As for the other engines (cyberpunk, rage engine) I genuinely don't know any stutter complain exclusively for PC on those..... Experiences on those engines are vastly superior on PC. This is without directstorage infact. As for the resident evil engine, it was pretty good until they introduced that damned half baked dx12 ray tracing rendered lol (again a case of subpar "Japanese" handling SMH)
Playing halo infinite multiplayer right now, which was one of those games I was told to have bad framepacing and stuttering issues on PC but I can provide a video with a frametime if anyone of you wish
I genuinely believe this "PC stutters in games" is blown way out of proportions... PCs have so many configurations with alot of people running tons of shit.in the background, unstable overclocks, cracked games, I can see why complaints for bad performance poppes up so often
Btw I don't know why but DF still consider the old hag of a machine (Ryzen 5 3600 and a frickin 580) to be "mid end"...I would say a rtx 3060 and a core i5 12400f is the mid end right now...I mean a 480 is 2015 tech lol!
Khair I hope this unreal engine 5 stutter issue gets fixed if it's gonna be really that serious in an actual game. Hoping for the best here
