Sony PlayStation 5 : Play Has No Limits

PS5 Release Date, PS5 Games, PS5 Power vs Xbox One X, PS5 Price Speculation - All the PS5 Info lets discuss

Here are all the rumors and speculation surrounding the PS5, including a potential PS5 release date, power, and launch games of Sony's inevitable PS5. Is the PS5 releasing in 2019?

What we Want From the PS5 Speculation aside, what would we ideally want from the PS5? Backwards compatibility for PS4 games would be brilliant, simply because you'd be able to carry over classics like the Shadow of the Colossus remake to the next console generation. We've seen how well Microsoft is handling backwards compatibility with its Xbox One consoles (including getting amazing results updating Xbox 360 games to run in 4K on Xbox One X), and something similar on PS5 would be great.

In terms of pure power, the PlayStation 5 has to significantly exceed the power of the Xbox One X. This means featuring more games running in 4K at 60FPS. If the PS5 can deliver about 10 TF of power we'd be happy, as this would allow devs to create games that look a generation ahead of what we've got now.

But what would the dream launch lineup be for the PS5? Death Stranding and The Last of Us: Part 2 are hugely anticipated blockbuster games, with the former especially looking to push the performance of whatever system it's on to the very limit. We've also mentioned Ghost of Tsushima and a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, and the latter would be the perfect way to kick off a new console cycle from Sony.

That was an awesome showcase IMO. Anxiously looking forward to UC4 remastered and Wolverine by Insomniac.

The only bummer was that GTA 5 has been delayed for PS5. Whatever happened to Nov release date :(

Yeah and thank god at least Wolverine is PS5 exclusive. It was a pretty average first half followed by a superb second half of first party content. From the first half, the only worthwhile game that really impressed me was that EVE game. A good mix of Nier x DMC and that protagonist was whuffff.....

The one thing that i was really disappointed was the UC remaster for the PS5. It should have been a free upgrade and i just hope the sales numbers on the PS5 are super low for that.

A clear case of the gpu not being able to keep up with the I/O in that instance. Things will only get better with improved optimization. Can't wait for Spider-man 2 and Wolverine 🤜

P.S. Returnal's brief stutters also weren't I/O related, as inquired from the developer by Al-ex 🤣

Jedi Fallen Order I/O stutters = GPU stress3D when iNt3aCt1ng with w@ter
Rift Apart I/O stutters = GPU c@nt k33P uP with I/O
Returnal I/O stutters = mUsT be UE garbage collection

A clear case of CerebralTiger in denial. :ROFLMAO:

Still, it's a strategy that can hurt them in the long run. By far, the biggest source of revenue comes from those who spend big on their platform. The last thing Sony wants is to upset that high engagement audience. As Shawn Layden wisely said, making money isn't always the point.

Short-term gains can lead to long-term losses 🤷‍♂️
The blame for everything wrong with PlayStation (including the company's newfound love for PC) falls on only one man i.e. Jim Ryan.

Took Necrokiller an entire day to find these posts of mine after Izhee shared that tweet on the shoutbox 🤣

Not sure how this is new, anyway. He merely reiterated what he said over 2 years ago, when he was still working at PlayStation.

Shawn Layden was never president of PlayStation, so, unlike Jim Ryan, he wasn't in a position of power where he could make such decisions during his time at the company. Also, these ideas were floated after the former PlayStation president i.e. Andrew House, left. He firmly believed in exclusivity, and cited the PS4 Pro as a reason to keep the PlayStation fanbase away from PC, its primary competitor.

The company was at its best under the leadership of Kaz Hirai and House. Jim Ryan's reaping the benefits of other people's hard work. It'll take a while for consumer perception towards PlayStation to change, but it will happen unless the company finds itself with more sensible leadership that, among other things, isn't out to scam its loyal user base.

I mean, it was literally the first post when you search for Shawn Layden under CerebralTiger's embarrassing history of posts. Looks like I kept him waiting, huh? :ROFLMAO:

Also, goddamn LMAO @ the irony of a Nintendo fanboy and Scam CiTizen backer accusing Sony of scamming their users 😂

Typical Necrokiller lol. Using misguided examples to try and cover up his new favorite company's scams 🤣

Nintendo only delivers quality to its consumers. That quality has a price. No one is being fooled into paying more than they can 🤷‍♂️

Imagine accepting a company's $70 price tags, $10 upgrades, buying their new console as soon as it releases, but then call that company someone else's favorite who didn't fall for any of those practices. That's one approach, the self-righteous as always approach :ROFLMAO:

lol @ Nintendo delivering quality worth its asking price
