Ummm.... after the latest 1.4 gb patch today, i am unable to launch the game....
Anyone else facing this problem?

So my review :

so I am doing what I usually dont do...

I am playing the game with two different characters intros - corpo and street kid prologue, two different builds, two different looks and gender (a guy and a girl) and trying slightly different playstyles.

The experience on PS5 is pretty good, desperately waiting for next gen upgrade.
I really really like the city. Outstanding open world. Navigation, rememberable locations, distinctive style, the people/npcs, the atmosphere, the visuals, the grittyness, contextual narrative..very well done, and exactly what I would imagine a "realisitic cyberpunk-ish world would look like"
Plus the NPC quests, as far as I have played are multi-tiered, have interesting story and I am quite enjoying them.

The bugs are annoying and everywhere. Almost on every corner I can find loot that I cant access due to it being under something or next to some foliage..or some collision box is off. These can be overlooked though.
However I have faced what I would describe as two really annoying bugs - that basically had me restarting the checkpoint , and my friend's ps5 crashed in his recent playthrough.

The UI isnt that great. Keeping a track of missions is difficult and you constantly get so many things happening around you that I feel lost. apart from the busy hud - you constantly get phone calls, 10 things on screen that can be opened for random loot, shard pickup and just overall notifications. Its a bit too much, and poorly laid out.

The loot and craft system too isnt great either. The progression seems off, and feels grindy. But this can be fixed with an update. I hope they balance it.

Enemies are really bullet spongey, like the guy wont die with a headshot even. Atleast the bullets are available nearby and you dont need to manage your ammo that much. I dont really prefer this combination of "|bullets easily available, but bullet sponge enemies".

I like the sensibility of getting experience on guns that you play with. It kinda automatically defines what playstyle you play with, even if you are not actively thinking about it.

I really wish they would allow you to adjust your hand model during shooting. the gun comes up too far infront , and when aiming down sight - it comes up a bit too high and blocks visibility. They should maybe take a look how CS, overwatch or other proper FPS do it.

Music is great, dialogue well written - the audio mix is off. But I am sure they will remix the game in a patch.

Cyberpunk 2077 has already recouped its development costs, CD Projekt says

Cyberpunk 2077 has likely already paid for itself. In a memo issued Friday, CD Projekt — the parent company of developer CD Projekt Red — said that its revenue from digital pre-order sales alone exceeds all of Cyberpunk 2077’s production costs and all of the company’s marketing and promotional costs for the game this year.

In a series of tweets issued on Thursday, CD Projekt announced that Cyberpunk 2077 had been pre-ordered more than 8 million times. Nearly three-fourths of those pre-orders were for digital copies of the game, for which CD Projekt has a higher profit margin than for physical copies sold at the same price. The company also announced that sales of Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam crossed the $50 million mark “over 2 weeks ago,” meaning that from that point forward, it has been receiving 80% of royalties from the platform.

All of this is good news for the individual workers making the game, as they have been promised a 10% share of the company’s annual profit for 2020 — just as in recent years. A full accounting of CD Projekt’s bottom line, and the full scope of the financial success of Cyberpunk 2077, won’t surface until the company’s next investor report in 2021.


As a publicly traded company, and one of the largest such companies on the Polish stock markets, CD Projekt regularly makes its financial results known. In accordance with national regulations, it is also compelled to make statements like this one about issues that fundamentally alter its financial status. The same thing happened when the company struck a deal with The Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski in 2019.

This particular memo comes on the same day that the company’s stock saw a precipitous decline — around 29% — likely in response to the critical and commercial reception of the game, which has been mixed.

This game is a nightmare on PS4 xD barely keeps up to 30FPS and that is with low action going on..


We're yet to see Cyberpunk 2077 running on current-gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

However, CD Projekt Red's Marcin Momot reassured players that Cyberpunk 2077 runs absolutely fine on consoles. When asked about the framerate and the visual fidelity on the consoles, Momot simply replied: "It runs fine."

@Chandoo did you notice those occasional pauses while driving in the Series X performance mode analysis? This game is such a big mess, even on an SSD.
A more powerful console won't magically completely fix their trash engine without some heavy optimization efforts. Even 2080/3070 caliber PCs are suffering performance issues when driving, checking mirrors etc etc.

I thank the gamers who are beta-testing this early access game now, funding the next-gen patch and bug fixes for 2021 :p

The above is like the most detailed comparison that i found on youtube regarding alot of things that i was kinda noticing on the console versions like TAA not working properly, screens and images being just flat out blurry, FPS being shit and NPCs looking worse than Solid Snake from MGS1 (PSX). The PS4 Pro version isnt that bad but for PS4 base console this game is more like a Cyberjunk 2020.

Not trying to take a dump on the game, so far i've played it on PC with my rig and is a fucking amazing experience regardless of the few hiccups i came across for example

jackie saying "See you later chicka" and then proceeding to commit suicide by driving off the bridge etc
. The glitches and the bugs that you DO encounter from time to time are pretty much expected in a game this big and seem to pop more and more the more it goes on but at base are seemingly harmless and dont break the game but can get annoying
