That depends on your smart phone, actually. You need two mics for noise cancellation to work. If the network does some more fine-tuning, then that's different but your phone and its two mics are needed in the first place. 3G AMR-WB has similar effects.

Here a bad analogy which should help explain: VoLTE is like PTCL calls but on steroids (assuming both you and the receiving party are on a similar level). It's consistent and generally reliable. Does not require an internet connection, and can be used to call other landlines or phones...

Can anyone please share the IMS APN screenshots from Jazz?

They announced VoLTE a few years back. Now, this. Competition is always a good thing, but for once, these guys are the followers. But it doesn't matter when zero signals and a limited number of phones that they support...

The difference between Telenor's subscribers and Zong's are little - I know many Karachiites who have Telenor and Ufone, so they probably stand to gain the most from this. Ufone generally has dense urban coverage (3G) and they recently scored some additional spectrum in 4G, so whoever gets...

Now that's interesting! Guess money talks. And even though both companies are loaded, the Chinese are relentless. Let's hope they're actually doing something as well on the network upgrades-side (VoLTE, 256QAM etc.) as well. Edit: I don't understand Telenor and their move to acquire 15Mhz in...

Can't entirely say. Thing is the HD sign is for the caller, and it's not always accurate (because you probably won't get HD voice across networks). It basically follows the same rules on 3G, except they've added an additional icon on 4G. I wouldn't read too much into this. Zong does have HD...

Umm... how did you guys get it working on your Poco phones?

I got a call from them. It is a staged rollout, and they've enabled it for several Samsung devices and four specific Huawei devices (some Honor and another device name I'm not familiar with - I forgot to write them down, but they said "several Samsung phones"). I complained (generally) about...

What about your phone? Any luck? My Pixel 4 says "yeah nah".

Are you able to use 4G data whilst on a call? VoLTE will allow that since it's data-first (and calls after), as far as technology maturity is concerned.

Either Zong hates me, or their performance wildly varies (4G). When you perform a speedtest and no aggregation is present, forget about getting decent speeds unless you're lucky. On weaker signals, it's even worse - it's as fast as edge, but since latenices are much better on 4G, basic data...

    1. ISPs are within their legal rights to shape your traffic as per the terms and conditions you signed up. It's an industry practice. Whether they do it or not is a different story... Which brings me to point #2: 2. There's no proof that they shape/throttle IPTV traffic. ISPs in the UK block...
