    Just do a CBA of both situations. Even if you're living in Orlando, you cited expenses as being $2500 per month. Add in another $500 for entertainment etc, that leaves you with $3250 per month. Put $1000 each month into a 401K, send $1000 home and you still have a decent salary left.
