dont know which place you checked but the 4" flex light is 650 rps, 12" flex light pro is 750rps and cathodes are 800 each. so cant see how flex light is twice as expensive.
if you're talking about quantity then well the only reason that comes to my mind is that led's are a bit expensive than cathodes.
red and white would look good together. if you want a lot of light in your system, then get the CCFL, otherwise i would suggest get the flex light or flexlight pro. its a big more subtle, easier to mount and looks much better as well
the first pic you linked to me has the XLF-1253 (orange blade fan). Its just that the way i took the picture and the way light was being thrown at that fan, its making it look red. The red led one CLF series fan comes with transparent frame. Hope this clears your confusion. If still not then do let me know
flex lights....(small ones) dont come with any adhesive tape. you can use a double sided tape for it though. flex light pro 12" ones come with adhesive tape already attached. just peel off the cover and stick it where ever you want to.
