Yeah Arakawa is amazing, watching the protagonist getting mind-raped and physically abused by sadists and sexists is too much fun.

No, no need to get any posts and ranks I think. There is this "Customize My Profile" button besides the achievements tab, click it and enjoy getting a *headache*.

Ibitsu no, not yet! There are a great deal of anime that I am watching and more are on-hold, I need to finish them first. Then I need to get over with learning scanlating, also watching the tv shows Terriers, Bloody Monday 2 and Akai Ito - because I made promises with people.

Ohh...skip beat! I have to watch it yet.
Nodame and Arakawa are really good.

I am going to try to postpone watching anime until I get a custom-built pc with an hd monitor. So I am trying to learn how to scanlate, yesterday I got some tutorials from a group over at IRC. People are really kind and helpful, the tutorials are wholly great.
So, I think that I will waste a good amount of my time on manga from now on until I get a custom pc to watch anime in true 1080p resolution.

How's it going with "Kimi no Iru Machi", liking it?

Whatever the case is, one thing that I know is that the person is using the normal, outdated MPC and not the home cinema version.
I tried KMplayer and Mplayer a while back and didn't like any of them. MPC - HC + VLC, that's it for me.

You mean the wallpaper I keep as on my profile is good? It's from the visual novel "Flyable Heart" and the character is "Shirasagi Mayuri". Want me to link you to the wallpaper?
I'll look into the Ghost in the shell wallpapers in a while. I prefer Sankaku complex, konachan, orenoimouto for all my images, scans and fanart. I'd say that probably Sankaku Complex has the biggest database ever of anime and manga related graphics and the good thing is that when you scroll down, the pictures of the next page appear with no need to click another page.

Any (Extreme or normal) thought-provoking anime you have watched? Especially Lain?
I have it on my hdd, but need to finish all the other already started anime.
Ohhh!!! This sucks and I also grabbed Seitokai Yakuindomo (1080p version) during it's initial swarm on BakaBt, yes, need to watch that too!

It was an ecchi anime after all, not that concentrated on a deep story etc - what can one expect from an ecchi show except satisfaction and fanservice with awesome lassies'?

Yeah saw that one before on the BakaBt blog, although I agree with the many points that were shown VLC is good in it's own way. I use both of them - VLC for normal videos, MPC-HC with CCCP + CoreAVC for Hd playback and songs on foobar 2000.
Yup, like Nagato said VLC has truly horrible subtitle rendering - my first and only case uptil now is Hyakko (From SS-subs)! Oh my gosh man, the subtitles filled like whole of the screen.

That's a really big size for the "Black Lagoon" series, the 1080p one is more than the double of the 720p one. Must be dual-audio right?
Manga, yes I do read them and I love it! Sometimes with music in the background, mostly instrumentals - it is more fun like that.
I was reading Moe Kare lately or more recently I was reading hentai one-shots, I know I suck!
But I will give a pause to manga for a while, I need to finish the many anime that I have started etc.

Thank you for telling me about "Tasogare Otome x Amnesia", go for the three titles you mentioned later on. I myself was very eager to star "Kimi Iru no Machi" but forced myself to wait until more chapters come out or the manga ends because I was reading "Bokura wa Itsumo" and it's chapters come really slowly so I get off-track from the story. "Good things come to those who wait" or so they say in anime.

I finished UBW about 3-4 days ago, liked it a lot. Way better than the anime in some aspects, though there were some 'wth moments'.
Was sad to not see more of Sakura. Gilgamesh was way cooler in the movie as his attire was changed but unfortunately other characters did not get the same treatment and felt dull to me because of their "carried over from the anime" attire. But I liked Rin in her night-clothes and Sabre when....you'll know it, as she was really hot and in a compromising position.

Some good things were more gore and more deaths and better fights. Some shocking revelations about Shiro and his imminent fate. I became a little racist while watching the movie too. Saber lost her touch as a feminine specie of the human race but her fights were fairly good.
Shiro was way more badass in the movie than the anime.

Story gets complicated at some moments so it is better that one plays the UBW route in the FSN visual novel, it's up to the watcher to do so afterwards or before.
