I dont know if Spain put in a better performance today, or whether it was the Germans who were just an epic fail tonight. The Germans did not have a plan B at all. It was all 'let them come to you and counter'. They put absolutely no pressure when Spain had the ball and couldnt put 2 passes together. An epic fail of a performance by a team who have, for the most part, been the best and the most entertaining team in the tournament.
But well up Spain well played. Apart from the incredibly selfish play by Pedro, Spain were on top of their game today and right on the money. Viva la Espanol!
Van Persie vs Fabregas in the final then. One Arsenal player will most certainly be lifting the WC trophy.

The game played by GHANA against Uruguay was epic, by far the most entertaining in this World Cup.

Anyway Cesc is in a tight spot me thinks. On one hand he's had success, and is on the verge of winning with Spain. Something he's been looking for since 5 years now. But then again he still didnt get to play today even over a useless Torres and that might influence his decision since thats what life at Barca might be like. I dont think Wenger will let him leave this season.

when argentina went out of the wrold cup...i love that team/country..maradona is a god....couldnt bare the messi.burdisso.m.rodriguez and maradonas expressions..specially when the third goal went in..he held aguero..and before the match he went to every single player and kissed them on the cheek!
i have stopped watching the world cup..although i really want Uruguay to beat those Nazi FU*KS....

Well, the match was over hyped and did not live up to its hype at all. It was a very very boring encounter with Germany doing nothing with the ball. It was just like the Barcelona Chelsea match at Nou Camp a few seasons back. No urgency shown by the Germans only having counter as their sole source of attack. On the other hand, Spain made the match boring. Right back passes to the CB, he passes to the LCB, he passes to the LB, he passes it back to the LCB and do nothing!. Bull crap if you have 75% of the ball possession atleast create some oppurtunities to score a goal. All they did was keep the ball and kept on shooting from distance. What was the use of all that possession when they did nothing with it in the final third. I didn't really see any save from inside the or close to the penalty area made by the German keeper. It was a very very boring match to say the least and Spain were mainly to be blamed for. Mark my words, the final is going to be pretty much the same. I hate the way the Spanish play given the talent they have. BORING and POOR.

Well, teams at this big stage have to play cautiously.
And also that Spain must be the most entertaining team I have ever seen. Their Midfield is dominating. I really like their passing through which they confuse the other players. When all the players are near the box, some neat move is started by the Big 4's, (XAVI, XABI, INIESTA, FABREGAS), which ends up with Villa having the ball and the ball going into the back of the net in a moment.
Though, this match did not live upto its hype like most will say, they had to play cautiously. German could not do anything even if they wanted because this was Spain at its best. Their Midfield is everything. Germans were just looking at the ball, they might have gotten the ball after 20 minutes when the second half started O_O
Thats why I am saying that Spain could win the Final easily too.
Also, the ref made some very poor decisions today. Flagged offside when it wasn't, didn't flag when it was LOL.
Overall, I think Spain should have bagged in a bit more if it wasn't for that Pedro and Torres mistake in the last 5 minutes of the game.

Agreed to an extent but they pass, pass, pass, pass and don't score or atleast work the keeper apart from long range efforts. That's what annoys me the most. They play the Barca type football, but in Barca you see loads of goals scored, here you only see the passing part of it. For me watching Spain is similar to playing a fifa match where your opponent is backpassing the ball around and keeping the possession and you are running all over the field trying to get a touch. They dominate the whole match yet they win by a single-goal margin. Even when they had so much possession, they never looked like scoring apart from the occassional Alonso shoots. To be honest, this World Cup has not lived up to the expectations.
I thought of something this evening at half-time.
Barca are too reliant on Messi. Messi is too reliant on Xavi and Iniesta.
Thats why Spain can't play good attacking football. And thats why Messi is not efficient in Argentina.
Also, that Spanish strikers are not in form. They are playing the United style of gaming with Torres as the Second Striker (like Berb) and David Villa as the Center Forward (like Roo). Torres does try occasionally but he is unlucky. He could have scored 2 tonight but due to that sucky Pedo and his own mistakes, he could not take the shots.
Nonetheless, I am very happy that the team I supported are in the Finals. I was beating the drums about Spain since more than a year lol.
They are totally either Barca, Real Madrid, or Liverpool. Thats why they play so good unlike England whose players are from United, Chelsea, Liverpool, City, Portsmouth, West Ham, Tottenham, or Aston Villa :$

The first half was lulball. Second half showed a better side of Spain. They deserved a victory and Torres most definitely deserved that goal. Besides that mistake, I thought Pedro did well.
