no genre requires faster execution than RTS

using a full keyboard mapped with hotkeys iz not an easy task man
attack/defend/build/retreat all at once u shuld try it sometime

ur attacking an enemy base while another enemy attacks ur base tht requires insane micromamangement
most of the time ive seen in online plays tht ppl dont even waste a second of build time for units and structures as 5-6 seconds advantage in early game can decide whether u win or loose

Oh cmaan guys. Stop fighting like kids over genre preferences. To each his own!

The only problem I see with the fighting genre is that it hasn't quite kept up with matching the presentation strides made by other genres this generation. Though Tekken6 got the potential to possibly change that. We should've thrown a couple of words for it. I mean, if we can discuss something (potentially crap) like Wolfenstien, then Tekken was a must.

"WTF is Kazuya doing with a mini gun in a fighting game?!" could've been a nice discussion

Yes, Wolfenstein 3D was a revolution in its time. Yes, return to Wolfenstein was cool. But nothing in this Wolfenstein is worth anything so far.

Dissing MW2 ? Im only being sceptical that because of its hype and the general tendency to give pathetically SMALL campaigns! Ive already left the TF2 PG clan because Im moving back to CoD4, and MW2 the minute a dedicated server is formed on MBL! The MW2 SP campaign might leave a lot to be desired.

The only reason there is 'nothing worth' in this Wolfenstien so far is because it isnt super hyped wiht all advertising like other games which really have nothing extraordinary either, but their hype makes even the most simplest of things sound OMFG WOW! (Example : Vehicles in Halo ... not dissing Halo, but that little vehicles in Halo point)

Dude, it ain't just the hype but the production values that I've seen so far in MW2, the cinematic modern war theme and character design plus presentation that've built the interest. And that's before even the MP part.

Why should I be concerned about Wolfenstein? I mean, gimme a reason! The production values seem pathetically low on this one. It has C-grade game written all over it. The veterens of the industry doesn't find anything worthwhile in it. I can't either. If you can then enlighten us bro.

lol at the guy who threaten to delete fanboy posts but only deletes pc defenders' posts.

this was as bad as last karachi podcast. flocks of console lovers tryin to agitate 1 & only pc defender and makin fun of him. why dont u make a podcast with only 2 guys, ahsan and chanoo or nomad & chandoo, i guess he will have a heart attack if left alone.

you guys really suck at this job, u shud give up on making more podcasts.

I was talking about how "manly" and "fast paced" and "fast minded" these simple fighting games are NOT! Tum beech main say MW2 n Wolfenstien lay aey ho.

Im looking forward to Wolfenstien as its a classic, and id love to play an old classic that was just plain fun in some good graphics compared to what I played on my 386. Wolfenstien and Doom were the first games for me on the PC. Its holds some value to me.

Ive already left TF2 clan because im going back to MW and upcoming MW2. The only thing im speculating is that the campaign, like the previous one ... may leave something to be desired a.k.a. being too small. MW2 multiplayer will be EPIC and Ill be one of the first to move to MW2 when a dedicated server forms.

MW2 is THE GAME OF 2009 ... nuff said ! While wolfenstien goes back to my old FPS PC starting days and hence im looking forward to it.

If I ever listened to these 'metacritic' reviews n stuff ... id have missed out on a huge number of games that are just epic but because they arent hyped up, shown at conferences, advertised and whatnot ... they arent really given much attention.

Wolfenstein was definitely a classic. Im really looking forward to it as well. Whos to say its bad when you haven't even seen enough footage? Just coz its not that much advertised doesn't mean its not worth keeping an eye out for. Fans of the original game are well aware and hyped for this... doesn't really matter to them if its appealing to the new audience or not..thats for the devs to worry about, if that. Whether its a disaster or another classic, only time will tell.

Btw may I add Fawad, you called RTCW cool ... yet there was not much of an hype about it ... and im sure not many people here have heard of it either, nor did it win any big awards ... but its "cool" ... why you would wonder ?

Because the Wolfenstien story, much like Doom and CnC Tiberium and such will always be a game to be played because of its storyline to the old PC gamers.

Doom, Wolfenstien, CnC series ... these were the CLASSICS. Phir stuff like Quake, Deus Ex ... this is stuff which revolutionized the state of PC gaming and anyone who played them back them, will play them now!

Just coz its not that much advertised doesn't mean its not worth keeping an eye out for.

Think of it as the same scenario as when a movie is not advanced-screened for critics, 99% of the time that's done because the product is utter crap to begin with

zero hype from the publishers themselves says nothing but lack of confidence in the product.

Im surprised you thought of that... I had the same example in mind. But most hyped up movies are utter shit and those which are never heard of end up being REALLY good.

Was District 9 a bad movie? (just one example) Pretty sure most media Abuses will lead to bans never heard of it... Would you rather watch the oh so advertised and hyped up Paul Blart Mall Cop? :mental
