Is Jazz VoLTE supposed to activate by itself? Also, is there any news about VoWiFi?
On some brands like samsung and vivo it activates by itself. On other brands like Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco you need to call on help line for activation.
Pakistani companies are just starting with VoLTE. Zong and Ufone are still not providing VoLTE. VoWiFi is 7-8 years away from now

I still don't have it on my A53 here in Wah Cantt. I wonder if they are activating it city by city.

No, but what I find interesting is how Mobilink was so against the entire idea of introducing 3G and 4G into the country, how they didn't bother with purchasing 4G spectrum and all that, and now, look at them. They've upgraded their network (not coverage) more than Zong (that has focused on coverage).

And it's not really price competition we're talking about here. It's competition on another aspect.

Who would have thought?!

You're right even our area doesn't have 4G of Jazz since 2017. Stick on 3G. Jazz is trying to explore all possible techniques to improve their services in short limited sphere. Zong is best it's coverage is good and real competitor of Jazz. 0

Get a new SIM issued from Jazz franchise / service center. VoLTE doesn't work on older SIMs.

It wasn't showing up on my parents phones until I got new SIMs issued from Jazz Service Center, and immediately after inserting the new SIMs and restarting the phone, the VoLTE icon showed up.

I actually got a replacement SIM (after misplacing old one) two weeks ago from a local retailer but still not getting the VoLTE to work.

Not sure if any other telco has started yet, but Jazz is using IPv6 now.

I'm in an area where there isn't any PTCL coverage, so we had to set up an external LTE antenna and a Huawei B535 router with a Jazz Data SIM.

Just tested with my phone too. Jazz APN uses IPv4 only by default, but if you enable IPv6, save the APN and toggle flight mode on/off, you'll get IPv6 on your phone as well.

Try going to ipleak.net (I think it's .net - it's the site that looks like a robot lol) and see if they report an IPv6 address as well as an IPv4 address.

It does. Not surprising that they're using dual-stack, but at least they've started rolling out IPv6.

Nayatel (while not a mobile telco), has also started rolling out IPv4+IPv6 (dual-stack) by default now (previously it was only enabled if requested).
