Capturing via GeForce Experience should be better, since it doesn't tax the cpu and this is essentially a cpu + storage test.
This is the same guy who said ShadowPlay isn't even reliable. Yiiiikes! :ROFLMAO:
Shadowplay often has compatibility/performance issues with several games to the point where I don't even bother using it anymore.

Alright so I have progressed a bit more into the game. While the game shines indoors, I cant seem to connect with the open world. It just feels very..... plastic... if thats the right word. I mean it looks good, but that's about it. If feels very empty. At least thats my initial impression from the first few hours.

I'm still in Watson though, done a few gigs and side missions and just finished the brain dance mission. For me, the biggest appeal in this game, as of now, are the characters. Each one of them that I have encountered up till now, feel very unique and interesting.

Also the stealth feels a bit too OP as compared to guns and that is something I'm not enjoying too much. Aesthetically, the guns look so good in this game and I love to play with them but their damage output often is insignificant and you eventually have to take the stealthier route.

Same here, don't really like doing stealth or too much hacking..at one point I just go all out. En emies can feel like bullet sponges So I try to aim for the head with the best of my abilities...are you playing on a PC? Agree with you 100% with the characters. Can't comment on the outside world aside from the fact it looks pretty, I just go point A to point B right now keeping exploration to the minimum lol

Nah man. I'm on PS5 - performance mode.

I guess a good open world game is one where it organically distracts you from the your main objective. Games like RDR2, Witcher 3, BOTW, Elden Ring etc are all examples of excellent open worlds that you want to engage with apart from the main line objectives. That feeling does not seem to be present in CP's world... yet. I'm pretty early in the game so I am holding off on my judgement hoping that it might get better later on.

So I have played quite a bit of CP in the past week and yet haven't really continued on the main line story missions akin to Witcher 3. I'm really enjoying the shooting now that I am a bit used to it. Playing on HARD mode and its so so satisfying to clear a VERY HIGH DANGER mission on that difficulty. Enemies usually two shot you at this difficulty.

While I love the combat and the characters, my main gripe with the game is it's open world. It just isn't fun to roam around it and going from point a to point b is probably the most tiring aspect of this game for me. It just feels that at times it wants to be an RPG game in GTA's clothing.

The usual shortcomings of any FPS-RPG games are there as well. The biggest of them all is the fact that the armor just feels useless. Since you cant really see that armor in FPS perspective, it just feels like a chore to sell, disassemble, equip armor based on their stats.

The constant bombardement of missions on calls and messages is also very distracting and overwhelming. The UI also felt very cluttered so I had to tinker around and turned off a lot of things. Also, the game still feels a lot more buggier than i initially expected.

And done with the game. I think I picked the worst ending with surrendering my soul to Arasaka lol. Will try a couple more endings tonight.

The game is still fairly buggy at least on the PS5, the enemy / NPC AI was all over the place, the RPG mechanics were meh, the world it self was such a let down. On the other hand, the main line story along with the supporting cast was top notch. A good number of supporting cast was exceptionally fleshed out. The game was exceptional to look at. Also Judy Alvarez ❤ !!!

I have so many mixed feelings about this game. All in all it was a pretty decent game but it just wasn't as good as i was expecting it to be. It certainly wasn't up to the bar that CDPR had set with its previous game and most definitely not what they were claiming it to be. This wasnt a bad game by any standard though. It just wasnt good enough by CDPR standards. I would rate it 8/10.

Speaking of bugs, the game force closed on the PS5 at least 3 times in my entire playthrough. I dont think I have ever come across a game that has done that, let alone do it 3 times. I also had to restart the game 4-5 times in game as well as the quest would bug out and wouldn't move ahead. Cant imagine what a nightmare this would have been 2 years ago especially on the previous gen systems.

So I finished it a while ago, don't feel like writing a detailed post.

Tldr;

Overall score from me is 6/10.

Could have been so much bettah!

The next 'version' .. sequel might be good though, hopefully, maybe.
