Ok....so my gpu (asus rog strix gtx 1060 6gb oc edition) died 6months back...by died i mean that it stopped giving any image but the fans still spin and rgb lights turn on and there is an image through integrated graphics....
The gpu is still in warranty but to claim it i have to send it to dubai, uae for rma and that costs about 10k non doc shipping vie tcs...
Now my question is should i spend the money in hope that I'll get a replacement or a refund... or risk going to a repair shop cz they could make the gpu worse and void the warranty...
I live in rawalpindi btw...any help would be appreciated

If you have warranty, claim it through that very shop.
If you bought it overseas, then your chances of RMA are very slim as you cant "export" electronics out of Pakistan.
But if you are somehow able to do it, then 10K for a brand new GPU in warranty doesn't sound very bad.

My advice,
if you can, DO IT!
Do not dwaddle!

Thnx for the reply....yah my first thought was also to try and claim warranty but then i saw because of the pandemic flights are stopping and there was no one i knew going to dubai then i thought of shipping it but then i was worried if they reject the card then all my money for shipping will also be wasted and my brother said to take it to a repair shop (how much worse could they make it)
...now i am in a dilemma so i turned to pak gamers...

GPU repairing is never a sure thing.
The only known method I've seen is to "bake the card" but unfortunately, that is temporary.
You'll end up wasting money either way.

GPU's that stop giving display or have other functional faults are never rejected in Warranty.
That is the reason why theres warranty in the first place.

befikar hokar try karlo.

Nahi to allah maalik hai.

Baking the card is a last resort usually. If there's an issue with one of the VRM's then the VRM Mosfets are the first thing that gets replaced. In most cases, if there is no display from the GPU at all, 9/10 times it's a VRM issue and not the graphics chip or the vBIOS.

Other than that, I agree that if you have warranty, that's the best way to go.

@G4M3R I agree with @LiV3 WiR3 suggestion I myself have used Ayaz's services to have GPU's repaired before and can recommend him to you.

He brought one of my EVGA 1060 3gb back to life after it was damaged by moisture. Its been working flawlessly since.

You can send it to him via courier as well. I've known Ayaz for over a decade, He's a very good friend of mine and 100% trustworthy. Contact him 1st.

Aoa guys, im facing some issue with my 1080ti in which the games freeze sometimes with a specific color like brown or green and sometimes like in the pic below, it works for a while before this happens. It varies from 5 mins to 15 or 20 or sometimes an hour even but it does happen at some point. sometimes when the freeze happens, my gpu fans go to full speed and get very loud. Has anybody faced such an issue here, if not can you link me to some expert repair guy like the ayaz person mentioned on this thread? Thanks

That's artifacts. Open the GPU and clean it thoroughly . If still doesn't work, need an expert to repair it.
