Hey man, did you find a fix for the voice chat issue? I'm with Stormfiber and have the same problem with Rainbow 6. I called them about the daily ping spikes (happens around 11 pm for me) and they said it was a country-wide problem.

I'm still looking for a fix for the voice chat, so if anyone knows please let me know.

They've finally expanded to Sialkot. Waiting for availability in my area so I can end my PTCL torture.

Voice chat is blocked by the meatheads at PTA. The only solution is to use a VPN in order to unblock it. I personally use ExitLag and it works flawlessly and lowers my ping by 10-30ms to both EU and Asian servers.

I'm on PS4 for now, but ExitLag sounds promising for when I make the switch. Thanks.

You can also try Cloudflare Warp, its free and gives constant 90-100ms to Asian servers. Really a great option if you play Asian servers only.

I've been having trouble with torrents, they are always getting stuck on 'downloading metadata'. Has anyone faced this recently?

Anyone experiencing packet loss on stormfiber? I had a long argument with the support guy today who was trying to convince me that if ping is normal then there is no packet loss despite me allowing him to test the connection through remote access and all the issues were evident and he kept convincing me that if there was packet loss, then I would face high ping too. I even made him test the connection to their internal IP and there was packet loss and he told me that it was due to firewall and all other made up bullshit excuses. His ignorance surprised me considering that he was working as a network engineer.

I told him that none of my friends on other ISP are facing the issue, its only happening with their network but that didn't help with my case at all. He kept saying that their network is working normally. I have attached the screenshot to their internal IP, please do let me know if this looks normal to you.

sure, just press windows + R key then type cmd and after it opens type "ping 8.8.8.8 -n 500" it will take a few minutes let it run and take a screen shot and post the end result here. Do this test during peak hours (9PM-12PM) because that is when the issue starts to occur. Thank you.

same issue and after I provided all the evidence to them, their rep tells me that if your ping is fine then there is no issue with the service. Their support doesn't know the difference between ping and packet loss.

SF has migrated all users of Karachi to IPv6 (dual stack). I think the very first ISP to do so in Pakistan. They will gradually shift all other cities as well. Now no NAT restrictions and other network complexities.

You guys have IPv6? I wonder how IPv4 communication will work over IPv6.

storm is using dual stack (IPv6+IPv4), means ipv4 will still co exist for v4 queries.

I don't seem to be having packet loss issues thankfully, and I don't think I have IPv6 either yet at least according to whatismyipaddress.com (I'm in Karachi of course). Something definitely has changed recently though since I'm having a lot of trouble with torrents being stuck on 'downloading metadata' although COD works fine (it shows NAT strict in game).

I also noticed telecomadmin login on the huawei device no longer works which is strange. Seems they push changes like that remotely?

Maybe we can make a Stormfiber whatsapp group? If there isn't already one, it can help sharing network status, problems etc.

My PS4 voice/party chat has stopped working today.

My ONT is using both IPV4 + IPV6 as of today but I am still behind their CGNAT. Hopefully IPV6 gets fully implemented as an option to run along with IPV4 soon. I am in Wapda Town, Lahore.
