I mean, its hard to even see it clearly there lol

Looks great. The lighting and skin shading in particular stands out too. This game will be glorious on PC.

Atleast Chandoo acknowledged that CDPR is achieving ND's level of detail while being a massive open world game.

Didnt think that went as planned lol

Ps. Wtf is up with that hideous second pic lol

'massive' open world, surejan.gif :p

and that 2nd pic is an upside down Ellie, that whole scene has some real nice character detail you don't see in any other game (character face/lips get sun burnt after a while, blood splat spreads on her clothing in real time etc).

comparing a studio with history of making open world games, to a studio whose creative lead has openly admitted they will only make story driven SP games .. wow kia shocking statement hai :p

"attempt" to backtrack by showing visual example, of how CDPR matched "level of detail (hint: veins lol)" comparable to a linear game.

🤣

It's pretty noticeable here (@12:50).

lol why does it being an open world game matter in this case? TLOU2 could've easily been an open world game with the same fidelity. It features a pretty large pseudo-open world section. Only a portion of the world map is loaded into the memory (and hence is being rendered) at a given instance in open world games.

Also pretty noticeable in the screenshot I posted. Besides, the game has a very different visual make-up. A better way to judge its foliage quality will be comparing Spider-Man's foliage quality to Cyberpunk 2077's lol.

Who knows? Fact is that it simply isn't lol. So the comparison is flawed to begin with.

Or to RDR2's foliage quality, perhaps? lol

An open world section exists in the game. The streaming tech is in place. As a matter of fact:

The Seattle region map size is probably around the size of Yakuza and Judgment's Kamurocho lol.

I dont think games have looked any better since 2019 onwards and they are performing worse and worse. Game developers have really dropped the ball.

What is peoples obsession with Battle Royale genre. 6 minutes to find a match, 3 minutes to setup a match, 2 minutes to land, 10 minutes for scavanging maybe 2 3 gunfigts and its over. Multiplayer landscape is looking absolute dogshit.
I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.

After I watched it, I never felt like i watched a show. It was a friggin journey. I got way too attached to Thorfinn and seeing him grow up and find himself and get rid of all the negativity inside of him was just pure bliss.

With how great cod warzone has translated onto mobile. Mainstream Consoles have lost its value even further. Maybe console gaming was associated with TVs and how TV is not the primary source of media consumption anymore, consoles will lose its 200 million core audiences even further.
