WB Games Montreal is, once again, teasing its new project - long rumoured to be a Batman game set around the Court of Owls storyline, and potentially called Gotham Knights - and it looks as though we'll see an announcement or reveal of some kind tomorrow, August 18.

I really liked the detective aspect and the christmas theme of origins. Underrated game tbh.

YEs the detective aspect was good but it was really under utilized and honestly felt very scripted too. Apart from the game had very uninspiring characters and pacing issues... It wasn't a bad game but it was definitely not nearly as good as the ones developed by Rocksteady.

Anyone remember the MP mode it had...? That was really fun. I used to play it a lot. The servers are closed now sadly...

Batman: Gotham Knights

  • made by WB Montreal
  • large open world city, divided into 17 districts, each district is controlled by an Elite Talon
  • four main playable characters: Batman, Nightwing, Robin (Damian Wayne), and Batwoman. Harley Quinn is a bonus pre-order character
  • switch between those characters at any time, while they're in different places (like GTA V)
  • main antagonist is the Court of Owls, Talons can regenerate after being defeated and will go after the character that defeated them.
  • defeating an Elite Talon means that their district becomes part of "Batman Inc.", giving access to new upgrades, crafting materials, etc.
  • secret villains controlling the Court are the Three Jokers (based on Geoff Johns's upcoming comic)
  • coming early 2021 to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Steam, Epic, and Stadia
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

  • Rocksteady production
  • co-op game with RPG elements, goal is to assassinate or capture seven members of the Justice League (they're similar to raid bosses)
  • playable characters: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Cheetah, Bane, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, and Gorilla Grodd. Deathstroke and Red Hood are future DLC (Red Hood is Playstation-exclusive)
  • Justice League bosses are Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern (I think it's Kyle Rayner?), Aquaman, Red Robin, and Cyborg. Batman is excluded because WB doesn't want to show him being killed or captured, so Red Robin replaces him. Martian Manhunter will be added in a future update.
  • Superman, Wonder Woman, and Flash will only be captured, not killed.
  • coming late 2021 or 2022 to PS5, XSX, Steam, Epic, and Stadia

This looks much better than the upcoming Avengers games. I hope they also add some sort of MP mode like they did in the Origins.
And this is a separate game, not the continuation of Arkham games (story wise) I think.

The combat honestly looks much better than Avengers. The latter just feels like a button masher.

It's using the already great Arkham combat engine so it already has a leg up.

And yes it doesn't look like an Arkham sequel based on the trailer.

uhh i think its a follow up to arkham knight, the whole knightfall protocall thing. bruce wayne is dead and all but actually hes gone into hiding and the court of owls uhh anyone.
