@Nomad sure the game will many awards. sure it might be the BIG GOTY even, it had lgbtqabcdefghi agenda yes but that doesn't mean the game was any less of a technical marvel. it goes to length to show us the power of the ps4 in it's last cycle and with the upcoming ghost it's going to be another solid contender for GOTY.
So I actually hadn't had the time to go through the video. Went through it just now and there are plenty of interactive sections, including set-pieces. Not to mention, a cutscene that is optional is also included. Hence, it isn't accurate.I wanted to see how The Last of Us Part 2 fares in the OP's certified "Cutscene to Gameplay Ratio ®" analysis.

Cutscene to Gameplay Ratio ® becomes 3.6 to 1.
In order to conveniently shit on other games, the OP stated that atleast "5 to 1" ratio is acceptable. Part 2 falls way short of that mark.
In conclusion:
The cutscene length in this video is more accurate, but still has some interactive sections and the optional cutscene. Nevertheless, it totals to 4.38h.
Now let's do the math.
23h (total main story playtime) - 4.38h (cutscene length) = 18.62h worth of gameplay.
Cutscene to Gameplay Ratio ® becomes 4.25 : 1.
If I were to edit out the interactive parts as well as the 4 minute long optional cutscene, this would get much closer to and likely even hit a ratio of 5 for gameplay.
So what's your conclusion in light of this? lol

Everyone including it doesn't change the fact that it is optional and entirely missable for anyone doing the main story, as it is encountered in the open world-ish section of the game. Moreover, I did not include optional cutscenes for other games I calculated the gameplay to cutscene ratio for.
There is no need for any guarantee. Main story means main story. I didn't wonder about such things when calculating the ratio for the other games either. All optional cutscenes were excluded. Margin of error exists, but this test is comparative.
Lastly, as I said earlier, it's not just that one cutscene, but a number of interactive set-pieces that are included in the video. Removing them will increase the ratio of gameplay. Pretty sure someone will eventually put up a proper cutscene-only video eventually. If not, I'll do it. In addition, the playtime average is not yet final and is actually increasing. You jumped the gun to run your agenda, and it backfired (as usual lol).

Perhaps you should have done that first before quoting my post. Come back when you are able to show that the game has an acceptable cutscene to gameplay ratio i.e. 5:1 or higher. You have failed to prove that so yeah....looks like you're the one who jumped the gun here too soon

Have you seen my first post regarding this game? I did like the game, even WITH all the issues I have with it. I just think that the game getting praised as the best game ever with 10/10 scores is unrealistic as this is a significantly inferior game than the first part (as far as I'm concerned, you're free to disagree). It may well remain the best game I play this year, but that still doesn't mean that this is a 10/10 game.
As far as the game being a technical marvel and a showcase for power of PS4 is concerned, kindly show me where I've complained about graphics of the game.

Jackson happens in Winter, where Owen first fells Abby that Mel is preggo, which would mean maybe its only been a few days/weeks since they found out.
Seattle happens not long after. Maybe the journey from Jackson to Seattle took Abby and Dina .. a month ? they are on horseback and it shouldn't take them *that* long. The rest of Seattle happens within 3 days.
At most Mel might be 4~5 months but we have no idea. She says in the game " if I was any far along they wouldn't let me go on patrol ".
Also if your fanboy eyes think am full of shit please contact the wiki tlou guy and tell him you used 100% of your brain to analyze it seems to be only 4-5 months of pregnancy. He also gives detail of how the super pregnancy survived the crash.
