Gears 5 is getting six new playable characters today — two heroes and two villains, plus two additional characters from the upcoming movie Terminator Dark Fate.
The four Operation 1 characters are COG Gear, DeeBee, Warden, and General RAAM. Each of these characters has “powerful multiplayer abilities” and can be earned in Gears 5 or bought in the game’s store for 500 Iron. Hero COG Soldier has new abilities for Horde and Escape modes, as well as the Arcade. Hero DeeBee and the two villains, General RAAM and Warden, all have new abilities for Arcade.
Once you’ve unlocked these characters, you can use them as skins in Gears 5’s versus multiplayer. Here’s what to expect from the Operation 1 characters, via Xbox Wire:

Pretty impressive that Gears 5 broke into the top 10 despite being on Game Pass and not counting Steam sales, and especially when Game Pass codes were being given out for free and $2 near its launch.

We also got a good look at how the controller is different from the Xbox One, and just how muchroom the Series X will take up in your home. But to finish the announcement, Mike Rayner — technical director at The Coalition — showed off a demo for how the team is optimizingGears 5 for the Series X this holiday.
According to the post, Rayner and his team showed Microsoft Gears 5 running on the Xbox Series X using the same Ultra settings usually reserved for the PC version. This version of the game also includes higher texture resolutions, higher-resolution volumetric fog, and 50% higher particle count than the PC Ultra specs. The team from The Coalition also showed an improved version of the game’s opening cutscene, which ran at 60 frames per second in 4K — twice the frame rate of the Xbox One X version.
Gears 5 also saw speedier loads on the Series X, and included additional visual features like contact shadows and self-shadow lighting. According to Rayner, the team at The Coalition is investigating a version of the game that could run at 120 frames per second in multiplayer matches. Microsoft revealed that The Coalition only had a matter of weeks to make all of this progress.
Finally, The Coalition also revealed that Gears 5 will be fully optimized for the Xbox Series X in time for its release this holiday. Players who already own Gears 5 will get the Series X version for free, via Microsoft’s new Smart Delivery system.

The Gears series has made a lot of improvements over the years, I've ditched playing the Resident Evil series altogether in favor of Gears installments.

So while Playing Control, I found a journal which said that a bathroom is missing in Islamabad Beurue of Control. With Alan Wake and Control seems to be connected worlds. Even our city is in the universe as well. No wonder those Trail 5 and Trail 6 are haunted.
