[Buying Advice] PS4 Pro Complete Setup

1. What are the regions and which region to go with?
2. Should I go for some special edition like Fortnite, COD or Spiderman. If yes, why?
3. Which controllers are the best? Because it comes with only one controller, right?
4. From where to buy it in Islamabad. Has anyone any idea about KiranElectronics?
5. ishopping.pk is selling different variants of PS4 Pro 1TB. What is the difference between them? Like there is one, SONY PLAYSTATION 4 PRO 1TB EDITION (CUH-7016BB01Y) for Rs. 86,766 and then there is SONY PLAYSTATION 4 PRO 1TB CONSOLE REGION 2 BLACK for Rs. 65,800.

1. Regions are mostly just for blu ray movie playback. All games are region free, so get whichever one is the cheapest.
2. No, special editions usually only come with a copy of the game it's the special edition for (eg Spider Man special edition will come with a copy of Spider Man), and often they are skinned to match the game (the console shell), it's not really worth the extra price IMO.
3. Yes, it comes with one controller. The standard Dualshock that comes with it is great, no need to get a third party alternative.
4. Can't help you with this, other people in Pakistan like manigamer etc might help.
5. Same as above.


As for TV's, unfortunately you can't find the Roku models of TCL TV's in Pakistan, otherwise I would have recommended one of those to you in a heart beat.

To be honest, at this point I will ask you to wait for another year if possible. Until then, if you absolutely must have a PS4, get a Slim for now. Wait next year for the PS5 and buy it and a new TV at the same time.

The differences are mostly on a per-game basis. In most cases, you'll get games with higher resolution, or games which offer a higher resolution or a higher frame rate mode. But if you've survived this long without a PS4, I think you can wait another year. If you want to get a PS4, a Slim (or even OG model) would be available for cheaper.

Or.. if you *really* wanna up the savings, wait another year. PS5 is supposed to have 100% backward compatibility with PS4 (at least that's what Sony have said so far). You SHOULD be able to play PS4 games on the PS5 as well.

I, personally, got my PS4 Pro at launch in 2016 and it was my first PS4 so it was a great purchase for me and has been. If PS5 does indeed have 100% compatibility with PS4 games, I'll trade it in when PS5 launches.
