Finally started this over the weekend and have just got level 4 clearance. Loving it so far. Great level design I must say and I love the telekinesis ability. The Physics engine is very impressive, i just randomly melee around a packed office and love to see those papers fly lol.... Cant wait to explore and get more objects to upgrade... The recent patch made the games performance much much better and the ability to turn off Film grain and motion blur was a life saver. I wish the game a difficulty setting to begin with, would have loved to notch up the difficulty to make it more challenging.

lol I wont even go into numbers, however I would say this is an less than half-cooked estimate.
We are happy with the number of copies being sold worldwide, with the game yet to release in Japan and the overall reception of the game
all I can say is :@NaNoW is it a mere coincidence that AWE can stand for both Altered World Events and Alan Wake Expansion?

IDGAF about control anymore also put Remedy on my ignore list on steam so dont have any trash on my feed. Congrats to 505 games for selling out for such a small amount just goes to show how low their expectations from control was.

If I'm not wrong (@NaNoW can correct me), Control had a budget of 20-30M Euros. I don't believe it's a small amount for them.
This game is good. REALLY REALLY good. I am very close to face off with Dylan and loving it so far.
I understand PC peeps being disappointed with the game skipping Steam but there are a lot more people who worked on to create this wonderful game than the ones who took the "business" decision of skipping steam. Writing off the game as crap just bcoz its not on a specific launcher and without even playing it is very very petty.

I'm glad Chandoo convinced me to dex the game and get it out of the way. After finishing it, I can safely say the launcher debacle is the least of the game's issues. I liked the lighting and particle effects though. Definitely warrants a purchase on a Steam sale next year.

Huh? Who said the game was crap? All I see them complaining about epic exclusivity and somewhat about performance of the game and rightfully so. As far as I think, epic already paid for the PC gamers copies [emoji14]

The art design of this game is love. I dont why but i get some very Stranger Things vibes from the game. From what I have played as of yet, the one thing that concerns me is the writing and lack of personality in a lot of boss / mini boss encounters. The writing in particular is not reminiscent of what I have come to expect from Remedy. I loved Alan Wake and part of that reason was that Alan wake's story was very very intriguing. This is something that I havent felt with roughly 10 hours that I have spent with the game as of yet. I mean its not bad writing but its not Remedy standard writing either.
This is one of those games where finding the collectibles is more fun than a chore. They're all so well written and just genuinely
I mean ... just look at this.
Some of the collectibles being funny and finding them being a fun activity are very different things.
Not really, if they're funny, and/or you find them interesting .. finding them would generally be a fun activity as well, instead of mindless collect-a-thons like you see in the AC games (for example)

I dont think games have looked any better since 2019 onwards and they are performing worse and worse. Game developers have really dropped the ball.
