I have been using my Allied Bank debit card for Netflix, AliExpress, Steam etc for as long as I have had my account by activating an online session, no problem

A few days ago, I got a session activated and tried using it on Netflix, it didn't work. I asked customer support, they said and I quote "Netflix is an unsecure website so we do not allow any transactions with Netflix"

These are dirty tactics to force you to get credit card

Meezan blocking access to netflix as well. Could be the same with your Allied Bank

If this is the case then all banks in Pakistan would be blocking Netflix in the coming months

Interest lena is sharia compliant. But god forbid someone uses their own money to pay for a streaming service.

Is anyone facing recent problems with Meezan master card and amazon? Mine was working fine and then suddenly my Amazon prime subscription got cancelled due to card not working, had lengthy discussion with Amazon and Meezan csr, Amazon is saying your bank is declining our authorization and the bank says there is nothing wrong on their side.
It is so frustrating to finally find a card that worked and then suddenly it stopped. Why these Pakistani banks can't solve their problems when it comes to online transactions?

How is bank alfalah? Does their debit card work online without activation?

i am using aflalah and even their credit card doesnt work online without activation

They are very strict but all in all good.
Debit wont work on online international merchants and only credit card works

Hi everyone,so i use to use ubl wiz internet card which was awesome bw with no problems at all ,but the service has been discontinued ,so i was about to get a MCB LITE card the bank employee told me t doesnt work with netflix,amazon,google play store for two months now so what the hell is works with anyway,
So are any other solutions ,what are my best options?my main old account is in khushali bank which doesnt provide any thing ,really wish UBL WIZ wasnt cancelled though

Lite worked fine for me on Netflix this June but my card has expired since then.

What the fk are these banks trying to pull here by blocking these sites?

Which bank allows online payment through debit cards without any problems? HBL? Askari?

Basic, Non Visa ATM Card was free on Bank Alhabib, not sure about their recently launched UnionPay Debit Card.

so no soluton for me ,does anyone know about jazz cash visa debit card?

So what's the best card nowadays (used to be mcb lite) I'm looking for a card that gives good discount on sites like daraz.pk and works globally (play store, steam etc.) also doesn't have hidden fees or charges (mcb lite charges 0 rs on online payments) I'm fine with annual charges of like 300 or 500 rs, I'm looking for a bank account as a student maybe Meezan asaan account.

Meezan has a very good debit card - no hidden charges, discounts on Careem, Daraz etc., pre-activated with Verified by Visa security, NFC etc.. The annual charges are like Rs. 750. Recently, however, SBP's Shariah Compliance Board declared payments to Netflix as haram (lmao) . So, Meezan's card no longer works on Netflix, which is a shame. I have had 0 problems with Meezan's card, apart from the last issue, and have had it for almost 4 years now.
