It's up to the developer to block the use of kb/m adapters. So far, only Epic has blocked their use on consoles.

Note, no users were banned in any of this. Just the use of the adapter now prevents them from playing. Problem solved.
That said, even when using the adapter, games are still constrained by controller deadzones and acceleration. Not to mention, I can just as easily get one of these adapters myself, but there's practically nothing I can do about PC hackers/cheaters besides reporting them (that is, when I even detect them in the first place).
Better than game pass rental-bies, since I can go back to them whenever I re-subscribe. Can't guarantee the same on game pass, with games leaving the service every month.
I can at least up until Feb 2018, as ZhugEX said "launch aligned" when favoring xbox one x sales up until that point.
End users paying for online suffer at the end. The use of it is cheating and people use it freely without any fear.
How are they suffering? End users are free to purchase adapters and use them with games that don't block their use, just as those who play shooters are free to get an Elite or scuf controller to avoid holding a controller in the claw position, just as fighting game players are free to get an arcade stick, just as racing game players are free to get a racing wheel, just as players of aerial dogfight games are free to get a flight stick.
Meanwhile, there's nothing you can purchase on PC to even the odds against cheaters. That's the whole point.

I dont think anyone wants to play with cheaters. The fact that millions of people play online on PC and some of the most watched Twitch streamers are also gaming on PC goes to show you have literally no idea about online gaming on PC.

It is, and even when using a mouse/kb with the adapter, it's still gimped by controller deadzone and acceleration as I mentioned earlier. So, still unfair unless the mouse/kb is natively supported.
And with my smaller ratio on pc, I've encountered cheaters on multiple occasions in PUBG. With my large ratio of time spent in Fornite on ps4 with crossplay enabled, I've encountered several cheaters as well.
Counter question: is there a console that offers a subscription free online service? This has nothing to do with the subscription. Like I said, it's the price that has to be paid to play on a cheater-free online platform.

a) There's no robust and convenient video capture app that records the last few minutes of your session on pc. Shadowplay often has compatibility/performance issues with several games to the point where I don't even bother using it anymore.This is where I need your receipts
b) How exactly do I prove to you via a brief video shown from my perspective that someone else used a radar hack, a wall hack, or even an aimbot? You'd have to be in the match to know this. It doesn't take just one person to detect them. They aren't always cheating either. That's how difficult it is to distinguish them from an actual skilled player. Doesn't mean they're not there.
And before you ask why I didn't capture a video of the pc cheaters I encountered while playing on ps4, it was because of the reason I stated above. It's too difficult to demonstrate in a video unless you're the one actually cheating lol.
Answer remains the same: it's not due to it charging for online play, rather due to it being a closed platform. There's no closed platform offering a free online service today ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Leaderboards are also cool on consoles. I like numbers, as you can easily tell by now :hah: , and looking at the percentage of people who platinum'ed games I play and comparing them with my own trophies is an important feature for me. Steam leaderboards and achievements are easily exploited. Even you admitted to doing it lol. For all we know, you may even have cheated in online games :lol:
