Same, i am getting strict NAT. I checked today and they changed my ip address as well, and i cant open any ports.
I checked in the PPPOE Assigment page in the modem, and instead of assigning me a public ip (like before) , they assigned me a private ip through PPPOE. Hence they must have another layer of NAT on their end. I guess they are running out of IP addresses or find them too expensive to buy more.

Hmm, any work around? Possible to get NAT type 2 if I get my connection bridged and use a TP Link as my main router?

You have to call them up to ask whats up. Nothing you can do on your end.

I am experiencing the same as i m on PPPOE , i asked them to change my ip pool and this is what they replied;

This is to update you that StormFiber offers consumer Internet services with implementation of CGN (Carrier Grade NAT) scenario, where a number of customers use Internet facility behind a single public WAN IP. As far as normal Internet traffic is concerned, the requirement is achieved smoothly like in your case, but for some specific cases like client’s own email domain IP allowing, port forwarding, online gaming, online DVR surveillance, and dedicated destination servers based work etc. We suggest to opt public static IP through web portal.

Any workaround or solution as forward ports cannot be open now ?

They dont have IPS to provide.
Only option is to pay 300 pkr for ip lol.

You are right i just confirmed.
They have implemented Double NAT on their side so that one ip can be used multiple times ; according to them 6 people will share one ip from now on . If we want Port forward have to go for static ip. 300 rs/m .
good tactics to earn from us.

PTCL on GPON is the beast. Speeds are consistent and torrents works blazingly fast. Netflix and youtube and twitch streaming is a breeze. No downtime or disconnections. What more can one want in this third world country.

So will having Static IP give me NAT Type 2? And are there any cons to static ip?

Yes, static will give you NAT-2.

No cons unless you abuse it and then get IP banned.

Well I guess I have no other option but to get it. NAT Type 3 is annoying for PSN parties :x

We should all make a complaint to PTA regarding recent double nat switching.
All other companies including ptcl are on single nat.
Torrenting no upload at all.
