"SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE HAS A LOT OF INPUT LAG

There are between 87.87 and 112.87 ms of input latency between hitting a button in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and a character reacting. That means there are between six and seven frames of animation that pass between hitting a button and seeing a character move onscreen"

@janarioo the kids need it in cafes wtf does that even mean ? i have no switches at my gaming zone

and post full NEWS not just its bits man

[h=2]S THIS A BIG DEAL?[/h]While Ultimate’s input lag may not be significantly worse than other modern fighting games, it is significantly worse than past games in the series. The input lag might make Ultimateharder to get used to for veteran players. Smash Bros. also isn’t played like a traditional fighting game.
“1/10 of a second input delay may be standard fare for a modern fighting game, but it really worsens the experience playing Smash,” one player wrote on the game’s Reddit page. “It’s a game where people are flying all around the map, approaching from dozens of angles and varied hit boxes and trajectories ... Especially with how fast this game can be played it just makes for an objectively worse experience having this much lag.”
Other players argue that any change in “feel” is due to the new buffer system, and not the input lag.
“If you hold an action while locked into another one it’ll get buffered and come out on the first possible frame,” one fan wrote, explaining the difference. “While this generally makes things easier there are cases where the behavior is inconsistent (eg. dashes don’t buffer) or undesirable (eg. accidental dodge roll on land, short hop aerial instead of fast full jump aerial).”

“I think the lag is probably almost never slower than the built-in buffer anyway, which is why they allowed for the lag as it is,” another player explained. “Would literally make no difference as such.”
There is good news, however. Nintendo actively patches Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and it’s possible that an update minimizing the game’s visual effects could decrease the amount of input lag. Community testing has found that Capcom’s updates have significantly reduced the input lag found in Street Fighter 5, for example. The buffer system could also be adjusted.
It’s possible that a high percentage of more casual players will never notice Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s input lag, and competitive players may adapt quickly enough that it’s a non-issue. You’re not wrong if you thought the game felt fine before reading this article, but experienced Smash Bros. players who may have been confused by the game’s timing may now have a better understanding of why things feel a little off.

[h=1]Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the fastest-selling game in the series on the fastest-selling system this generation[/h]

[h=2]Nintendo is selling a lot of things very quickly[/h]

Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch is the fastest-selling video game system of this generation, according to data from The NPD Group.
“From its launch in March 2017 through November 2018, Nintendo Switch has sold more than 8.7 million units, outpacing U.S. sales of all other current-generation systems at the same point in their life cycles,” Nintendo said in a statement.
Nintendo is also celebrating the sales of its software, as the NPD Group claims that Nintendo is the “top-selling US publisher” thus far in 2018. And the performance of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate may help cement that ranking.
“This performance should receive an additional boost from the December release of theSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate game, which has become not only the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch game of all time, but also the fastest-selling game in the Super Smash Bros. series,” Nintendo stated. The game has sold over 3 million copies in 11 days, based on Nintendo’s own numbers.
Other recent games are also doing well. Nintendo has announced that Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! andEevee!have sold a total of two million units together, and Super Mario Partyhas sold 1.4 million copies.
These numbers are only for the United States, making the totals even more impressive

[h=1]Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC to include Mii Fighter costumes[/h]
[h=2]Additional purchases outside of the fighters pass[/h]

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate downloadable content will begin to rollout early next year, and it will consist of more than the previously announced fighters pass collection. Nintendo’ssupport site indicates that Mii Fighter costumes will also be in the mix, sold separately from the larger downloadable content bundle.
These 75-cent purchases will include a single costume for the game’s Mii Fighters, which are customizable characters that players can design from head to toe. There are already plenty of costumes available to purchase and collect throughout the game, ranging from unique headgear to outfits based on existing characters. But just as Super Smash Bros. for Wii Ubefore it, Ultimate’s catalogue clearly has room to expand.
The DLC will be available sometime next year; dates remain unspecified, as do the amount and types of costumes. For comparison, the previous Smash game had six waves of new Mii Fighter outfits, for a total of 42 pieces.
We’ve reached out to Nintendo for more details and will update accordingly.

[h=1]Nintendo's Biggest Problem Is That Smash Ultimate Is TOO Good[/h]

Nintendo's biggest problem with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is that it's just too good. The arrival of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was so anticipated as a result of many things, but the main appeal was always in the tagline of "Everyone Is Here." The motto was more than just a marketing gimmick, as gamers saw the return of every single playable character that has ever appeared in the series. The final list of combatants that shipped with the game was capped at 74, providing players with the ability to create every Smashmatchup they've ever dreamed of.
Add in the fact that almost every stage has returned, a story mode in the form of World of Light was added, and a handful of fan-favorite fighters like Ridley and King K. Rool have joined Super Smash Bros. in the latest iteration, and it's evident that Nintendo may now have a problem on its hands. The problem in question? Super Smash Bros. Ultimate may never be topped.

That's not to say that the Super Smash Bros. series won't carry on, as the success and steadfast demand for additional characters and franchise entries will always be present. The true purpose of this article is to highlight the fact that it's nothing short of miraculous that Nintendo was able to get the licensing for every guest fighter and assemble a development team skilled enough to resurrect every past fighter (and build several more) forSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate in the first place.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is, in many ways, a product of happenstance. While the game is technically a brand-new entry, it's built on the framework ofSuper Smash Bros. for Nintendo Wii U. A lot of that game made its way intoSmash Ultimate, which is what provided series creator Masahiro Sakurai and his team at Bandai Namco the opportunity to give fans the "ultimate" version ofSuper Smash Bros. This end product is the result of happenstance, and it may never be rivaled again.

The next moves for the Super Smash Bros. franchise appear clear; it will have to reinvent itself or completely start from scratch in order to deliver something new to consumers, but after spoiling fans with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate it likely won't be as well received. Nintendo has boxed itself into a corner with the franchise, and the only way out is to grow the existing base. The problem with this stems from the licensing fees associated with guest fighters like Cloud Strife and Solid Snake, and this issue will only become more difficult to work around as more third-party combatants join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC.

Persona 5's Joker is the first DLC fighter, but rumors claim that he won't be the last. An entire leaked list of DLC fighters coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been circulating. If it's true then Joker will be joined by four more guest characters – making the roster in Switch's version of Smash even more impossible to retain in a sequel.

Perhaps Nintendo knows the issues it now faces with the franchise, but maybe it just doesn't care. Smash Bros. Ultimate is sure to cement itself as an evergreen title on the platform, and the focus can now shift over to generating revenue from it in the long-term. Downloadable content (both paid and free) could feasibly be rolled out to ensure continued play, with Smash Ultimate's new Piranha Plant character acting as a jumping on point in February 2019.

With a strong install base already in possession of the latest Super Smash Bros. game, there's still a lot of juice left to squeeze out of this metaphorical orange. Nintendo also has plenty of time before it needs to introduce a new game in the series, so there are literal years left to assess what will be best for this asset. Here's hoping the company uses this window to brainstorm wisely, because it's going to take more than just adding Banjo and Kazooie to Super Smash Bros. to win fans over when it comes at the expense of half the current roster.

[h=1]Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fastest-Selling Nintendo Game of All Time[/h]

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has become the fastest-selling Nintendo game of all-time. There's no doubt that Nintendo was banking big on the game to move consoles during the holiday season in 2018. Ultimate was immediately a smash-hit upon release, so much so that it set a sales record for the highest-grossing console exclusive within a 30-day period – usurping previous record-holder Halo: Reach in the process.
Suffice it to say, Nintendo has had an interesting quarter filled with some major success for the company. After ample speculation on just how well Nintendo had performed, some numbers have finally arrived to cement the beliefs of fans and analysts. Those being that the company hit several major milestones with its Switch hardware, while simultaneous dominating the 2018 holiday season with none other than Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Keeping in mind the fact that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been met with a lot of success, Nintendo has confirmed the sales numbers for the title. A total of 12.08 million copies of the game were sold as of December 31, 2018, making it the fastest-selling Nintendo home console title ever released. The previous record-holder in that department was New Super Mario Bros. Wiiwhich sold through 10.55 million in a month and half.
Not willing to stop there, company also confirmed that the Nintendo Switch console has reached the lifetime sales number of 32.27 million units. This places the Switch within spitting distance of the lifetime sales of the Nintendo 64, which sold 32.93 million units during its time on store shelves. Finally, Nintendo also confirmed that the Switch has accumulated an impressive 162.61 million in software sales.

Other titles like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey have continued to dominate on the charts as well, building up lifetime sales of 15.02 million and 13.76 million, respectively. All three of the aforementioned games performed exceptionally well for Nintendo in 2018, and their continued profitability is almost a guarantee as consumers continue to invest in the Switch console.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in particular should prove to be an evergreen performer for the company, as new content continues to arrive for the fighting game throughout 2019. The playable Piranha Plant just released for Super Smash Bros. Utlimate, and soon she will be joined by Persona 5's Joker on the Smash Ultimate roster. Joker will then be followed by four additional fighters that are set to arrive throughout this year, although the only information about which mascots those will be stems from a leak highlighting all of the DLC characters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Whether or not that particular report is true remains to be seen, but Nintendo is very well aware of the install base of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and the various opportunities that provides. The company can now utilize the game and corresponding DLC as a means to promote upcoming games from third parties and its own studios. Keeping that in mind, it's not out of the question to suggest that another
Fighters Pass for Smash Bros. Ultimate may very well already be in the works to stretch out the sales window for the title.

[h=1]Persona 5’s Joker coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on April 17[/h]

[h=2]Version 3.0 of the Switch fighting game is coming soon[/h]

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will add Joker from Persona 5 on April 17 as part of the game’s first Challenger Pack, Nintendo revealed in a new YouTube video. The same day, Nintendo will release the version 3.0 update for the game, bringing with it the previously revealed Stage Builder mode and other new features.
In a new 15-minute video outlining this week’s update, Nintendo detailed Joker’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate moveset. He’ll use a gun, grappling hook, and the curse-type skill Eiha to attack foes. Joker can also employ his Rebel’s Guard defense to deflect damage and fill his Rebellion Gauge. When that gauge is full, Joker can summon his persona, Arsene, to aid him in combat. With Arsene in play, Joker’s abilities will be boosted, giving him new and more powerful moves.
Joker’s Final Smash, named All-Out Attack, will summon his fellow Phantom Thieves for a coordinated beatdown. And fittingly, his taunt brings Morgana into battle.
In addition to Joker, Ultimate’s first Challenger pack ($5.99) also includes the Persona-themed stage Mementos and 11 music tracks (including arrangements) from Persona 3,Persona 4, and Persona 5. The Mementos stage will change its color scheme based on the Persona game the music comes from.
Version 3.0 of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also include some free content. There’s the aforementioned Stage Builder, which will let players freely draw stage platforms using the Switch’s touchscreen in handheld mode; a new video editor, where players can splice together replay videos and share them online; and compatibility with Smash World, part of the Nintendo Switch Online app, where players can check out recommended custom stages and videos outside of the game. In Smash World, players can queue up downloads of custom stages, then play them on Switch.
Joker will be available to purchase individually, but he’ll also come as part of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighter Pass. This will include five different bundles, each including a fighter, stage and music. The entire pass will run players $24.99.

[h=1]Banjo-Kazooie announced for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[/h]
Yes, this is really happening

After weeks of rumors about a collaboration between Microsoft and Nintendo, a new challenger has appeared. Yes, our furry platforming pals Banjo and Kazooie are joining Nintendo’s 70-plus character roster for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Since release, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has had a number of DLC characters, including Joker from Persona 5, and Piranha Plant from the Mario games. With Banjo-Kazooie, Nintendo can technically now say that it has characters from both Sony, Microsoft, and Sega under its belt, which is absolutely wild to think about. Granted, this announcement probably won’t be a surprise to anyone who was paying attention:

Of course, Banjo-Kazooie is no stranger to Nintendo platforms — the duo originally premiered on Nintendo 64 hardware, back when Rare wasn’t owned by Microsoft. Aside from re-releases, we haven’t seen much of either character since 2008’s Nuts & Bolts, which was released for the Xbox 360.
While Nintendo didn’t announce a price point for Banjo-Kazooie, it’s worth noting that they’ve said that each “challenger pack” will individually cost $5.99 each. Challenger packs come with a new fighter, stage, and music tracks. All currently planned challenger packs will be out by 2020. If we add Banjo-Kazooie to the list, which now also includes Dragon Quest’s hero, that means there are two more characters left to reveal. A “fighters pass” is also purchasable, which bundles all DLC packs for $24.99, making them available as soon as they’re out.
