Finished bloodborne, just going through the chalice dungeons & started a new game to try out a different build. Overall, it's a better and much easier package compared to the DkS series, great art direction, amazing music & the DLC is better than the Artorias one from DkS. Fuck having to grind for blood vials & bullets in the early game though.

ENDED NIOH 8/10 Score

gameplay is super but due to being tooo long and too many bosses gets weak after 12missions later... ending level design was the best.

Story is nothing they should hve just not given the story at all for giving a shit story.

Overall Great Game.

Ended "The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings" a while back. Ran it at 4k res with all settings set to Ultra. Got a smooth 75fps (sm2)

Disappointed to see that TW2 was a step back from the original Witcher in many ways. Apart from being extremely linear, it sacrificed a good many features that made the original Witcher such a great game. Sure the game looked gorgeous and the combat was improved vastly, but the characters weren't as well fleshed-out and the plot, although interesting, was a bit of a let-down in the end. Environments were very restrictive, to the point of being frustrating to navigate.

There were a few segments that were mind-blowing awesome though! They kind of redeemed the game in my eyes. Game also clarifies the story a bit more which I appreciated but I doubt somebody who hasn't played the original would be able to understand much of it. Game makes a lot of references to the previous entry's plot. You even get to import saves and use sweet armour from the previous game!

All in all, the game lacked soul when compared with its predecessor. It's also extremely short but still worth playing if you liked the original.

Battlefield 1 (2016)

So, finally played Battlefield 1, a game I have been wanting to play for a while now since this is the only big budget AAA game I've heard taking place in The Great War. And I was quite pleased with it. Story, albeit a bit short, was well produced with cinematic cutscenes, great soundtrack and varying gameplay stories, and it gave you the grim feeling of war.

Arguably the best Battlefield campaign we've gotten yet. If you like FPS games, particularly military shooters, this one is an immediate recommendation.

8.5/10

TITANFALL 2

"Trust Me!"

Holy Moly i am in love with the single player campaign of this game. It's been a while that i have ended it, but the fun is still clear in my head. The way these games are creating brilliant characters these days, it's astonishing.

1. I LOVED ...
+ Visuals: Stunning, yet likable.
+ Characters: BT7274! I love you. Make no mistake, the relationship with our 'Pilot' and 'BT7274' was so well done, that i would give the chemistry a 10/10; better than a human interaction. (Salute to both ET3N from COD:IW and BT7274). Loved his dark sense of humor. Voice actor for BT7274 must've had lot's of fun recording this. So did I.
+ Gameplay: It's simple, linear and it's crazy fun. I loved it much more with Vanguard Titan.
+ Titan Weapons: It's mind boggling to see this kind of stuff in a video game. I dread to think what would happen if it ever comes to life in real world -_- BTW, Vanguard's Chain Gun was so much satisfaction. Better than ALL titan weapons.
+ Time Travel: Done right, i say.
+ Plot: Simple but fun.

2. 1. I DISLIKED ...
- Enemy AI: Oh god. So dumb that it's not even funny. The biggest let down of this game's SP Campaign.
- Limited Variety of Weapons: And I'm not even joking. It's hilarious to see a world so advanced that they have titans to fight in a war, but they have literally a handful of weapons to choose from. Even ONE titan had better variety of weapons and powers. (But then again, it's "Titanfall" ... so yeah).
- Difficulty Level: Campaign is massive fun. But with dumbest of AI, it's really a run and gun thing. I could finish a level just by running and guns blazing. It worked well.
- Multiplayer: Even though i am playing this MP much more than Battlefield 1 (or any recent COD game, for that matter) ... i hate the fact that MP is too limited. A handful of weapons, perks, titans, very small teams, and above all ... the dread f*cking match making. And there is no Vanguard titan

Well, these are my impressions. I could go on and on ... but i was caught off guard. Much of my surprise is because i never expected Titanfall 2's campaign to be THIS fun. Bottom line is that i hate A LOT of things, especially in Multiplayer, but this is pretty much the only multiplayer game i am playing these days. AND I LOVE IT.

HOMEFRONT: THE REVOLUTION

I remember the 2003 video game, Freedom Fighters, which after all these years, has stuck in my mind. I actually played that game numerous times before finally moving on. What a fantastic game it was. Good old memories. A little i also remember from the first Homefront (2011) game, it was bland and OK experience. And now, there's this, "Homefront: The Revolution" ... based on CryEngine. Can't say i absolutely love this game, because i kinda do. But it's amazing to see the incomplete efforts on such a potentially perfect reboot.

Without further ado, here are my likes/dislikes.

I LOVED ...

+ Plot: Just like the previous game, and other similar 'Freedom Fighting' games, it's quite a good attempt. It's ... cliched. Typical rebel-esque story with all double-cross cliches and stuff. (Easy to pick who would do such a thing:
Spoiler: show
Crawford
. But enjoyable, nonetheless.
+ Characters: THIS is where the strength of this game lies. The exceptionally well done characters with different persona, brilliant voice acting (Dana Moore, Jack Parrish). Ethan Brady was fine until he was silent. Can't say i feel the same when i hear him in a DLC mission.
+ Space Ship: Oh it felt dangerous to see her flying over you. The 'feel' of a real threat in the game. (More in later paras)
+ Crysis-Like Weapons Mods Menu: I have to admit. One of the best element in of Crysis games, was the ability to modify weapons on the go. And it feels very very pleasant to do the same in Homefront: The Revolution. Cumbersome, but really enjoyable.
+ Cell Phone: Well it's year 2029. You can do a lot with your cell phone. An idea well established via this game, lol.
+ Visuals/Graphics: Make no mistake, the world is beautifully well done. The feel of CryEngine is there. Lightening was one of the best, and so was the artwork. It's vast, and never felt boring to roam. Most beautiful during sunshine, but eye torturing when dark. But i'd say it's a plus point because the night time is pretty damn well done.
+ Cinematic Scenes: Cinematic scenes are like a movie. Too realistic for a game, emotionally and cinematically. Fantastic.
+ Soundtrack: By far the nicest addition to this game. They were so touchy and beautiful, that in some scenes, they really have the power to make you emotional. 8/10 for maximum efforts on soundtrack only.
+ DLCs: I like it when the storyline is completed to a point where it 'feels' complete. Really enjoyed the three story expansions. And the final one with nuke ... well, this is America right there, lol.
+ Long Game: It was such a long game that it took my days to finish it fully.

I DISLIKED ...

- Space Ship: You have a space ship and you only use it to navigate planet earth, and spot 'terrorists'. But when you do, you just call backup. You can't do anything from the air with your high-tech very advanced space ship. Funny.
- World: Amazing. But so less to do. Far Cry-esque with conquering all the strike points and stuff, without having much impact on your gameplay.
- Enemy AI: Disaster. Stupid, but equally dangerous at the same time. I really wanted some tougher enemies.
- Freedom Fighters: Useless recruits. You can't even command them to do anything. What if i don't plan on head on assault you stupid idiots?
Weapons:
- Too few of them.
- Minimal modifications options and variety.
- Year 2029, an 'advanced' era of flying ships, but no high-tech or high powered weaponry, attachments or mods.
- Useless silencers.
- No silencers at all for high powered weapons.
- One crossbow doing highly limited stuff, when it could have done A LOT more. (Better than Sniper :S)
- Bipods are just a cosmetic change, and you can't use them.
- No ammo combos (like explosive, chemical, armor piercing etc)
- Can't use a damn pistol on a bike.
- Can't fire from cover (blind fire was nice addition, though).

While most of my rant is regarding weapons, it's safe to say this game's WORST ELEMENT was indeed it's bulky gameplay, BECAUSE of it's weapons. Most of my enjoyment was due to beautiful soundtrack, fantastic characters and just lovely environment. I didn't 'hate' this game per se. I loved it in may ways because of it's very very enjoyable experience. But i wish they could've done more. :( Or just enough to boast something other than CryEngine. 7/10. Do play this game, though. I am sure you won't be disappointed ... too much. -_-

Just finished the Nathan Drake Collection that was updated for PS4. Loved it to the core. Amazing gameplay, terrific story and dialogues and what damned good set pieces. It's Indiana Jones reborn. I don't want a new Indiana Jones movie. I want more of these games. So excited for Uncharted 4 and later this year, Lost Legacy.

Next on my to play list:

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
The Last of Us

Any other suggestions?

Play The LAST OF US ASAP!! GEM GEM GEM!

Battlefield 1 was great, add that on your list if you want a shooter with a good campaign focused, for the first time, in WW1 - The good old GREAT WAR.

Infinite Warfare is on my list. I started it, and they really did went all out on it. The amount of chaos at display is awesome if you liked previous COD games and their fast-paced adrenaline style etc. I love em, so I was having a blast, but the installation had issues, so could only play starting missions. Gonna download it again.

QUANTUM BREAK (2016)

"The past is set, the future isn't."

Ah, the perfection. From 'Genre-defining game changers', Remedy. Emotional, blockbuster, story tellers from the heart, making the franchises that last. Creators of freakin' gems, Alan Wake, Max Payne ... One of THE best games ever made, and one of my all times favorites. With not a single damn thing wrong with any of them. The narrative, story telling, music, story, characters, gameplay, visuals, i.e. a master pieces. Unique style, presentation, and characters just makes Quantum Break yet another masterpiece from Remedy. Better, improved and just so BEAUTIFUL. A name enough to melt your brain. Characters to feel emotional. Actors playing their absolute best. A script, which drills down your heart. And a gameplay, which may seem ordinary but is nothing like we have experienced before.

My initial thoughts, "Oh wow, it's one expensive ass mo-fo game." "Wait, is that even a game"? But later everything changed. And i fell in love. I must admit that it's more of a movie, or TV show, than a game. But the more you delve inside it's story, characters, heck, everything ... only then you'll realize its magnificence. There is mind boggling amount of information spread around. If you skip even one note, you have basically missed a crucial element of the Quantum Break universe. It's by far the ONLY game where i have read each and every collectible found throughout the game, and repeated multiple missions and junctions, just to unlock the FULL detail on it's plot. Let's not forget the over the top Bruce Living Stone "My Screenplay - TIME KNIFE". hahaha. Some writing there. Also, Alan Wake easter eggs in Quantum Break universe felt nostalgic.

The actors are just outclass. Aidan Gillen as Paul Serene just won my heart. So badass, so pure. Beth just screamed for emotional attachment. Her Notebook and Journal provide some deep insight to plot and key events, and probably the only character after Paul Serene which i deeply rooted for throughout Quantum Break. And the way this game connects different timelines and characters, is just amazing. Gotta hand it out to these people. Making the narrative as smooth as possible so we can comprehend it easily. The plot isn't as complex and it looks, but if you're not paying attention, it's very easy to get lost in translation.

Performance wise, This thing is a resource eater. On a GTX780, i was hardly getting 15fps on maximum detail. So had to dumb a lot of stuff down. Lightening and Particle Effects are one of the best in industry, and time fractures are pure eyegasm. Time Powers are fun to use, and they just work. Decent amount of weapons variety and thankfully, not so dumb AI.

Overall, i am deeply impressed. Or maybe i'm just die hard Remedy fanboy. 9/10. Love this game so much that i wouldn't think twice to add it to my collection.

DOOM (2016)

I have never played the Original Doom, but i don't understand why Doom is so hyped up. When i saw the Remake last year at E3, 'Meh' was my impression, seeing the soul-less gameplay. But then i got to play it, and I got same vibe as Shadow Warrior and Wolfenstein. It's face paced, extremely fun, very hard to master, and a very interesting story to follow.

Gameplay is Linear, but maps are slightly complex. It takes some time to find all the available stuff. There is a deep character progression system, one of the best i have seen. You can upgrade literally everything. Runes (in-game challanges) are such a nice addition, which adds another layer of depth. But the best part ... secrets. It's so freakin' LOVELY to collect them all, hearing that nostalgic music in background. Also has some WOW moments, Vega's core, Olivia's killing etc. The craziest collection of weapons, Mini Gun, Guass Rifle and Assault Rifle's with Missles, and the f*cking BFG ... Such a blast to use (/pun). Pretty sure BFG means "Big F*cking Gun" here lol. Chainsaw is not a Katana like in Shadow Warrior, but it's pure fun to use it. I wish they had included more ways to slice open those suckers.

Characters ... make no mistaken, they are Coooool. Dr Hayden's voice alone sends a chill down your spine. I wished Vega would make more jokes. But our Doom Slayer has the best no-bull persona in this game.

Performance: I deeply respect the no-cap on FPS. The visual detail is stunning, despite the graphics being not immensely detailed. There are some FPS Drops, mostly during glory kills, or deamons ambushes, but I blame the shadows, lightening and particle effects. Performance takes a major hit because of these.

The amount of time and dedication spent on this game, it clearly shows. Each and every aspect is so refined that it just doesn't leave any room for complain. Not sure if Multiplayer is viewed the same, but i don't really care. Personally, I blindly trust Bethesda as publisher. To me, their name is enough to ensure the mega awesomeness headed our way. I rate this game 8/10.

THE FUN LEVEL IS EXTREME WITH THIS ONE.
