How important is learning German for masters from Germany in Engineering??? @NaNoW
you would need german for social life outside campus.

You need to see university's website as most masters programs are in english but in some places they teach a few courses in german and few in english.

Kashan123999 check daad.de for scholarships, but they are mostly for people with experience in industry.

Plus do check out the HEC scholarship. I know poeple from lums who got this scholarship.

I need some info about Australian/Germany study visa.

1:- Which country is most suitable Australia or Germany in terms of living, expenses and friendly people?
2:- I have a gap in my academic history. I did my Intermediate in 2008 and now i am doing my B.A(private) in humanities and social sciences subjects. Am i eligible for the visa?
3:- What are the health requirements for the visa and are they required by Australian/German GOVT or Universities?
4:- Suggest some reasonable universities in terms of expenses.
5:- Upon completion of the study, can one get work permit?
6:- Which Council is good for IELTS, British or Australian?
@NaNoW
Before asking for questions on Germany Find all information on DAAD.DE
they have a very nice and simple guide to all things, including courses and programs

1* I live in Germany, so I can only talk about Germany. Standard of living is high here, basic essentials cost lower than pakistan, but even a little bit of luxury (i.e ketchup at mcdonalds isnt free here) costs money
people are extreamly friendly, in my 3 years, I havent faced racism once. Living is dependent on city and type, it will vary from 180 euro to 300 euro for a single room in a shared WG (WG = shared kitchen /bathroom with other ppl)

2. You are eligible for visa when you get accepted in a uni..other things dont matter
3. You need health insurance in germany....you can use public or private insurance..90% of ppl I know personally are enrolled in Aok insurance which cost 80 euro per month. When you first leave pakistan though, you need to get 3 months health insurance.
4. Go to Daad.de...most uni take 100-500 euro semester administration charges..tution is mostly free
5. Yes, you get around 18 month visa for job search
6. Donest matter..just do it..heard aussi was easier ...I did uk

nearly everyone knows english (depends on city) and you will be able to easily survive..
German is useful for social life, finding a job(increase your chances highly) and most normal other things.
I would say learn atleast A1 in Pakistan and continue learning in germany

NaNoW I've got a couple of questions about Germany
1. How easy is it to get a work visa if you have not studied in Germany (I'm Doing my bachelors from UK)?
2. How long does it take to get nationality after obtaining work visa or doing your masters there?
3. Germany is popular for its' engineering programs, is there something good for masters in Business? Currently I plan on doing my Masters from America, after working for a couple of years.

Thanks,

1. Difficult. since the same uk rule applies. That priority is for german national > Eu national > rest of the world
2. After masters approx 7 years
3. Germany has all kinda programs. Check on Daad.de, all unis are pretty good and reputable. Masters in US will cost you an arm and a leg, in Germany you will probably earn more than you spend while studying

Hmmm. That is way too long for nationality. I'm leaning towards Masters in America because it has one of the best business programs and offers scholarships as well.
I plan on doing a 2 year job before my masters and then proceed to masters in America with scholarship, that way I won't have to ask my father for money who is already paying a lot for me in UK plus most unis ask for work experience. UCLA is currently at top of my list.
Will check daad.de though, Thank you!

Don't totally depend on scholarship,I would suggest you to start researching on scholarship as well as sponsors to fund your masters .

Canada, Germany ? or somewhere else ?

Hello! hope you're all doing fine.

I am planning to do Bachelors in Computer science abroad so i want to know which uni should i choose and in which country should i study in ?

Why Canada is a Choice ?:

-Relatives live there so no tension of food, living etc.

-Electronics are cheaper there than most countries i.e USA

Why Germany is a Choice ?:

-Free studies

Answer these,

1- What level of education are you at right now.

2- What's your academic standing right now.

3- What's your financial standing. How much can you dish out per year, all expenses included (tuition, living, food, travel, etc). Please state this number in USD.

4- Apart from grades, what does your profile boast? Internships? Debates? Events? Enlist them.

I'll be addressing Canada and Germany after these.
Best option is, of course, the US, but not everyone can afford to go there anymore.

When you answer his question, it'd be a great help if you can tell some details about how much money is needed to study Bacherlors/Masters (CS ofc) in germany... and i mean total, living expenses + Bachelor/Master semester fees + admission fees and all that... I am still in my first year but i am thinking of doing Masters from Germany... Just want to know a bit about Germany

Everything you need to know about Germany is available at daad.de.
In the rare case that something is still unanswered, tag Nanow with your query. He's studying there.

Just so you know, I'll be taking chemistry in A levels now ( I don't find it difficult, personally ) just in case I fail to get admission into a good foreign university with 100% scholarship.

Anyways, so I joined this thread as per your recommendation. I just have a few queries to clarify. (I just want to study abroad in either New Zealand, European countries, US, UK or Canada.)

1) So like you said, most universities give unconditional admissions and I just need to pass the subject (don't worry, this won't make me go easy on the exams or anything :p ). Anyways, what sort of things/activities do I need to do to increase my chances of getting admission + a full scholarship.

2) I'm gonna complete my A-Levels from Roots. They have a history of making fake transcripts and I personally don't want them to make one for me. From what I know, they make fake transcripts so the universities see that the student has a great academic record with supposedly 8 grades (altho he took 3) with straights A's and what not. That will obviously affect the impression the admission officers at the universities, get of the student. But even if I don't get a fake transcript made, do I have a good chance with, suppose, decent grades and amazing activities/things you recommend me to do in my first question?

What is peoples obsession with Battle Royale genre. 6 minutes to find a match, 3 minutes to setup a match, 2 minutes to land, 10 minutes for scavanging maybe 2 3 gunfigts and its over. Multiplayer landscape is looking absolute dogshit.
I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.
