Everybody loves to eat. But how many of you love to cook and are proud of it? The world's best chefs are men anyway :duke:

So I was wondering what to cook for the family today; Sunday being a weekend and all. Decided to challenge my baking skills and picked Apfelstrudel (or Apple Strudel as it is known in English). It is a layered pastry filled with apples and raisins having origins in present-day Austria.

The most challenging part is making the pastry. Legend has it that it is supposed to be so thin one should be able to read a newspaper through it. I never got that far but stretched it enough without breaking the dough.

Added a touch of cinnamon and some sugar to the apple, rolled the dough into a caterpillar and set it to bake for 30 minutes till the pastry was golden-brown. Prepare your taste buds! and don't jealous

Mmmm......... the aroma of baked apple! I would suggest powered sugar and whipped cream to go alongside a slice of Apple Strudel.

Looks pretty good, I reckon you've been cooking for a while.
I need to polish my skills as well since living abroad, sick of eating burgers and pizzas. Following masterchef these days :p

Well i've officially cooked alot of chicken handis, my recipe is simple, add shan masala, some cream and butter with boneless chicken and you're good to go, i just need cream alternative as it's really expensive and i use only 2 tbsp of it.

living in Germany for nearly past 3 years now has forcefully made me a cook....actually, if I am completely honest, I can cook or bake almost anything by now.

Gordon Ramsey ftw

@ future wife : dont expect these skills to last...I will revert to being my old lazy self as soon as you arrive

That looks delicious Otto. ME WANTS IT!!

I can only cook Eggs (Scrambled, Fry, Omelette), Tea, and fry already-made stuff and create burgers/sausages/sandwiches from them. :p

I can make a nasty English breakfast, with scrambled eggs, having butter and cheese, sausages, meat loaf and bacon. Though ran out of bacon a long time ago and still months before I'll get it again, I use turkey meat strips or if all else fails, chicken. Along with it fresh juice or English tea, slightly buttered toasts, with a side of mushrooms, beans and a little cottage cheese lightly fried on the pan.

And that's the extent of my cooking skills.

Yes everybody, it was delicious. Pie dishes are usually dry so it's essential to have an add-on to moisten it. Cream is good while syrups can also be used.

That's nothing to be ashamed about. You're better than most girls out there. I swear 'khana daari' amongst the new generation of women folk is at an all-time low nowadays.

I'm coming right over, my friend. Had been meaning to make a full English breakfast at home ever since I came across this article http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/20150611-does-england-make-the-worlds-most-delicious-breakfast

Well I've been making omelette all this Ramadan and I really wanted to learn how to cook but sadly I didn't because lazy.Everyday I tuned into masala tv but they were cooking stuff that was just plain stupid . Nothing simple like yummy vegetables or chicken or beef or rice.Just snacks that will not fill you up at all.

What is peoples obsession with Battle Royale genre. 6 minutes to find a match, 3 minutes to setup a match, 2 minutes to land, 10 minutes for scavanging maybe 2 3 gunfigts and its over. Multiplayer landscape is looking absolute dogshit.
I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.
