Do you wear a watch? I don't because I think watches are obsolete. Anyone who carries a mobile phone has no need to wear a watch to tell the time. And anyway we have wall clocks everywhere nowadays.

But watches can also be a fashion statement so people might wear them for that. And watches can be a fun thing to own. So there is that.

Please vote and also leave a comment about why you voted how you did.

Yeah? Which brands are those?

I visited some sites of Japanese watch makers like casio and citizen. These are watches that used to be quite affordable when I was young. Nowadays they sell for hundreds of dollars!

Yes

Because many times, taking huge smartphone out of pocket just to check time makes you look like a douche in formal setting... And not at all practical while in market ... Easy snatching target.

Every Gentleman should wear a watch ... and a good one too.. Not those overly big "Look at me" type. Classy with low profile.

And something new Generation has to know... Men wear watches on left wrist.

And you can't trust clocks now a days at public places ... we lost value of time long ago to correct them on regular basis.

Casio G-Shock is quite famous these days. I think it is the top selling line from Casio.

If your smart phone is a snatching target when you take it out of your pocket what about your classy expensive watch that is always visible on your wrist? It does not attract thieves? Just saying...

Classy doesn't mean expensive. You can get a very nice watch within 5K. While your iPhone is worth more than 40K. Still is cheap losing a watch :)

Do you know why most people fail to keep track of time?
The primary reason is because they don't wear a watch.

There are people who value their time hence wearing a watch is like, mandatory for them.

As for me, i have been wearing a watch (CASIO Digital) since the age of 7, until now when i stopped getting watches from Saudia Arabia. (My TayaAbbu used to send me)

I can't find the same quality in Pakistan, not for appropriate price atleast so its been a while i wore one.

It's a perception we are wired to. Anything coming abroad/as gift doesn't necessarily have the top quality, It's the sentimental value and emotional attachments which passes through our perception filter. Perhaps you aren't looking for a watch at right places. Basically watches contribute about 90% of gifts coming from Saudi Arabia.

In a way you are right... In those days when we weare 7 or 10 year old. Getting a good digital watch from Taya/Mamoo was such a big happiness that we automatically assumed it being the best thing in the world.

I like watches but I've stopped wearing them because I'm so skinny they don't ever fit and even if they do, they just don't look good on my wrists.
