But honestly, the "import ban" is already in place. So if computer parts were part of the ban, then their prices would already have increased.

Yes, waiting is a good idea. If you see any shift in prices. Then make your purchase immediately from the vendor with the lowest current price.

So investment plan aside, If you just want to upgrade, then purchase the most powerful GPU in your budget.

BTW, the GPU & computer parts prices don't seem to be affected by the import ban. And computer parts are not directly mentioned in the import ban list (that would make sense because these are not really "luxury items"). So it's possible that prices for these items will not be affected. If so, then your whole investment plan will not work out.
