Timeshift is surprising good ….. there, I said it. The demo has convinced me, I’m seriously thinking about playing the full version.

Its basically a FPS with time controls set in a Half Life 2-ish world with alien invaders and human puppets at their disposal. The time powers work really well and are fun to mess around with, you get REWIND, SLOW and STOP time powers.

Slow works as you would expect, its bullet time. Stop is very interesting, it freezes everything in the environment but you, so you can essentially go on and grab weapons from all the foes and then turn it off to laugh at the hapless ai soldiers.

Rewind is also interesting, it isn’t Prince of Persia like get out of jail power, rewind basically rewinds everything BUT you in the environment, so if you are going through a tunnel and it collapses, you can rewind and run through it again before it does so again.

The best thing about timeshift is the feel of the guns, very reminiscent of black. I love it! The minute rumble kick back coupled with visceral damage makes for some fun fool killin time. 

On the basis of the demo, I would recommend timeshift to all fps fans, its may not be the best FPS out there but its certainly fun.
