Personally disagree with this.
Spiderman was great no doubt, but Alan Wake 2 did something original. They created a whole damn album from different artists, with songs that ties narratively into the game. And the musical sequence level with old gods of asgard / apocalyptica ...the songs were all so good.

Same with this

The Meta story of Alan Wake 2 on multiple levels. Sam as a writer, writing about a writer, who writes to escape a scenario that he has written from another dimension, where Sam is a playing a hard boiled cop, tormenting the writer that sam created. As Mr.Door puts it in the game itself...crazy. Plus the whole connected universe thing of max payne, alan wake, condor and control
